Wednesday on the West Coast

Good morning all :D

...& the east coasters are still asleep?? I decided this morning to get a greeting to all my MC friends before I try to catch up on reading! If I read first, I forget to post

Sarah, I'm sorry there hasn't been any improvement in your niece's condition... :( I hope there will be better news in the near future...

Well, I made it to O'side on Monday afternoon. Anita & I had such a great trip across country--I was so sad to part with her for the last day. Can't wait to see her & many others out in Q sometime in late Feb...Which, Lyn, is where you are now???? And here I am, thinking I get to meet up with you & have a whirlwind tour of SD  Well, I'll be in SoCA for about 6 wks, so let me know when you get back--or maybe I'll see you in Q!...Baja Babes, I waved at you as I drove along the SoCA border ;) .

All is well here...hope y'all have a great day & be safe always! 8-)

Good Morning.
I have decided that I don't like staying in one place for months so this will be the first and last winter I will do so. I thought I would get a lot of crafting done but have not. I have enjoyed this nice Florida weather however. Going to the Tampa RV show tomorrow with a neighbor. Need to check out what gadgets Miss Kitty NEEDS.

Everything is going okay. I do have to have the holding tank looked at again. There is a leak around the place you connect the hose to back flush.

No real plans for today.

Good Morning !!! Louise, I am so glad to see you posting, I was worried, as never heard back from you. Leaks are no fun, especially anything to do with sewer hookups. Hope its an easy fix. I also discovered years ago, that staying one place for any length of time is not fun for me. I like to be different places seeing new things and meeting new people.

Well, today is the day I find out what I might be able to plan on for this winter. Beautiful day outside, cool and getting cold, sure glad I am not up home though. I'm ready before time to leave, Hey, that's an unusual occurance for me :D Something always seems to pop up at the last minute, so will make this short and make sure I have filled all forms and that I am all ready

I hope you all have a really nice day, those in the colder places stay warm and safe, Those on the road, enjoy for all of us that are stuck in one place for awhile, but Stay safe.

CArol :)

Good Morning from Arizona!

Yes, Carolb and I had a long but enjoyable trip! She even put up with me pulling over in west Texas to watch the Seahawk football game Saturday! I think we both needed to get out from behind the wheel for a bit.

Louise, I spent 3 winters in one park due to having the fifth wheel and the camper. Enough! so sold the 5er and have been on the road this year.

CArol, it will be good for you to have a decision today.

LeRoy and I are parked south of Quartzsite at the turnoff for the Palm Canyon. He met me Sunday with his camper and the RZR. Yesterday we rode to the palms and hiked in until we could see them. Not that impressed - but that's just me. Then drove the spur road toward Kofa Queen mine. Sharon, wish you had been with us. The rock mountains are just fantastic! Didn't hurt that we saw 5 bighorn sheep either. Probably my new favorite ride.

Going out to breakfast this morning. Today I can check into the RV park in Salome - same one I have stayed at last 3 winters. The push will then be on to get the truck cleaned up so I can go get the new one tomorrow.

Everyone have a grand day!

Good morning all from the Left Coast, too! Probably too far away to feel for everyone else out here, but we had a nice little tembler at 1:30 this morning -- 4.4 near Fontana. Woke me up, and I don't know that I slept very soundly after that. This Friday will be the 20th anniversary of the Northridge earthquake, and after that experience any little bit of shaking gets my attention. It's headed for 85* today, and while that may sound nice we desperately need rain. Fire season is supposed to be over, but at this point I don't think we'll be in the clear for a long time. Humidity is in single digits and no rain in the foreseeable future.

But Carol, I thought I'd extend an invitation to you if you get up to the greater L.A. area. I'm still a poor working slob, but can always do dinner somewhere. :)

Okay, gotta get ready for my little sixth graders. Love 'em!

We are having another cool down but not like the deep freeze we had. At least I hope not. Yesterday I had to put the air conditioner on in my car a few times. DirecTv dropped the weather channel and we don't like what they replaced it with.

Yesterday I went to Lafayette to go to Sam's. I picked up my first King Cake of the year. I'm glad we can only buy them for a couple of months. I bought the smallest one and gave half to my son so it's already gone. We have no self-control around here.

Louise, I don't know if I would like spending 3 or 4 months in one campground. Last April I stayed a week at one of the huge campground in the Texas Rio Grand Valley. Most of the Winter Texans were already gone and the activites were over. I had fun because I was with friends. I guess if you are a social person that got involved in everything it might be ok. I think it is mostly couples so women alone might get left out of some things.

The barn cat that has been missing showed up for supper last night. He looks like he has lost a few pounds. Would sure like to know where he was. I need to put a collar with an ID on it so if he is roaming that the neighbors know he has a home.

I'm at Crystal Cove near Laguna Beach and view of ocean is spectacular! Rode my bike into Laguna beach yesterday and today am driving to Long Beach to see the Queen Mary.

Louise, I also would not want to spend so much time in one place. There is so much to see in this country, and I have barely touched it in 18 months!

By the way, I just made reservations at Fort Wilderness in Disney World for Dec 14-20, 2014. They are fast running out of spaces, but thought there might be a small group that might want to join me. I was there in Dec 2012, and am looking forward to returning and enjoying the holiday decorations.

Picking up my four new tires on Friday or Saturday and will be glad to have all new and non-recalled tires on this monster.

A bit after morning here
No change with niece this morning but she is holding the slight improvements made yesterday so that is good.
I made it to the campground yesterday for first time since big freeze to check on Magic. Seems to be okay; at least the engine started right away.
We had a few snow flakes in the air early this morning but not enough to cause much excitement.
Trying to decide if I want to whack off my hair. It is more than long enough to donate again and still leave me enough to play with - just never learned to do anything with shorter hair.
Activities for afternoon: brief hospital visit, grocery shopping and taxes - there must be some better options out there.
Hope you have something fun in your plan.
