Good morning, all... :) and yep, it's raining here, but it is warmer.. ;) So it will be a day of inside activities...need to run the sweeper and broom around...also do some dusting......  ...but need more coffee for that...

Just finish reading the blogs from the "Baha Babes"....what a great day they had snorkeling and watching the wild life....great photos of dolphins...and of course, birds, along with underwater photos of the life "Under the Sea"...( the song of that title is going through my head right now, from "The Little Mermaid.."....  ) Looking forward to more posts when they can....

Okay, got the coffee going, with Cinnamon & Raisin English muffins for you....

Have a great day, all...

Good morning Lori & all to follow :D

Guess I wasn't the only late one yesterday on MC! It's always so great to hear what everyone's been up to. I'll gladly enjoy one of those muffins Lori! Will wave to you later today Vicki--Martha, did you see me waving to you??? ;)

We took Rt 98--the traffic started backing up near Destin! OMG, yes, I'd been to Panama City Beach during spring break, & the Destin traffic was worse than that :o (except no drunk college kids). Boy, has that area GROWN in the past 20 years--well, I guess just about every tourist town has grown substantially. Destin was such a peaceful little beach village--now more typical with huge outlet malls, amusement parks, high-rise condos/hotels, & of course restaurants!

Today, we're "fogged" in for the morning, so don't know what time we'll be on the road. Think I'll mosey into WM--poopers are still sleeping! No sign of Anita being awake yet....

Y'all have a great day & be safe always 8-)

Good morning Lori, Carolb & everyone!

Lori, although it's only gloomy here, we have a pretty good chance of showers all day. Sure would be nice to see the sun again.

Carolb, I hope the fog lifts soon so you & Anita can get back on the road.

Woke up to 66 degrees here this morning and we'll get into the 70's, so we have the windows open again for the second day in a row. So nice that the cold air is finally gone from here...for awhile, anyway! Getting ready to get out my washer and spin dryer out and get a load of laundry done. If you're in the Ocala area, please stop by and say hello!

So glad your story had a happy ending Donna. I've lost cats in the past and it is no fun. Still miss them. The cat I have now I do not let out.
I've begun packing the Cosy Camper for the journey to Quartzsite. Hoping to get away on Monday...but, we'll see.
Our weather here is the same ole, same ole. Wish we had some of that rain.
Having lots of company with the DD and SIL here. Good visiting.
Carolb and Anita, drive safe!!! Hoping to see you "down the road". lyn

Looks like sunny and mid 70's here in SoCal...supposed to be up to 82 by Monday or so. Kind of trying to get ready for Q...leaving on Sunday the 18th and meeting Evie (Pooker) in Indio on Sunday. I usually stay at one casino, but I keep remembering the bread pudding (and memories of my friend Peggy in Conneticut) so think I'll stay there. Peggy, what are we gonna do w/o you to go search out the best bread pudding in Q??? :D Plus getting stuff ready for my cruise on 2/8...I'll only have a couple of days to finish that up when I get back from Super Bowl w/e in Glamis, plus I have an appt at the SS offices on the 4th, because it's just to hard to do a couple of keystrokes and switch me from DH's widow benefits over to mine. Which pays more. And which I was told was a simple matter to do once I turned 65. Evidently not. sigh. I hate dealing with the guvmint.

Hope everyone has a great and warm and safe day today!

Just sitting here waiting for the tow truck to arrive to take my Jeep to the shop to get fixed. Later on, me and Coco's "previous" owner will be taking Coco in to the vet (he has agreed to pay for it). Hope both of those can get "fixed" without too much trouble and expense.

It is cloudy but already 24 degrees now (above zero!). High of 31 predicted today. :D

Have a fun, happy and safe day! :D

Just got back from hospital - no change in nieces condition but the good news is that she is still breathing on her own with oxygen. Doctor ays it is a waiting game for now. Thank you for all the prayers.
No sleep last night. Phone rang a little after midnight. Naturally my first thought was it was the hospital. Thankfully it was not. However it was Mr Rooter (plumber) and they had a crew working all night. Said take us now or go back to the bottom of a list with more than 300 names on it. So got dressed and went to older niece's house to meet them. They worked until about 2:30 AM and thought it was fixed. However discovered this morning still leaking (in another place under house). Surprised but they sent crew back and they have just finished the second repair. $500.00 dollars later, hope this will do it.
I'm going to try to get a shower and maybe nap before going back to hospital this afternoon.

Ah, Sharon to go in search of the best bread pudding in Q is an admiral occupation. Wish I were joining you, but it's not happening this year. Sheila will go with you. I think Donna H will be there as well as some of the Apache LoWs, so you will have lots of good company.
Lightly snowing here today, but not freezing cold.
Take care.... Peggy

Got my Jeep fixed and back home. Was a cylinder that wasn't firing. Only cost $162, much less than I expected, and the towing was free with AAA.

Coco's results weren't as good. Turns out he has a large tumor in his abdomen, probably Lymphoma and possibly cardiomyopathy as well. Prognosis is not good. With lots of TLC, maybe 2 months. May put him on Prednisone for comfort purposes. I am also looking into a homeopathic treatment that I have used on ferrets with cancer before that worked really good at adding quality of life). I will keep him very comfortable until it is time to let him go. He was pretty active today and in good spirits. (Funny tho, the vet was afraid he was going to get bit. He remembers Coco back when he was a nasty biter. I think he was surprised at how sweet and gentle he was today, but he was still pulling his hand away when Coco would turn his head towards him).

My neighbor that I gave a haircut to the other day (who has brain cancer), called me earlier and asked me to come back and shave her head because her hair started falling out in clumps this morning (from the radiation). So I just got back from doing that for her.

Too tired now to do anything constructive. Kind of an emotional and stressful day. :(

I feel bad about everyone we waved to as we drove by! :( I will say driving through Louisiana, I got to thinking about returning there after the Midwest GTG in September. At any rate, I made a commitment about the new truck and have much to do before going to get it. Knowing I'd be tired when I got to AZ, this pedal to the metal will get me there a couple days early. As of this evening's phone call, it looks like LeRoy and I will boondock and take the RZR out in the desert for a day or two since my park reservation isn't until Wednesday. Then it will be unload the truck and clean it up time.

Sarah, so sorry Murphy has been visiting!! You have had more than your share and your niece has been in my prayers.

Tonight when we 'landed', I had to put in a new kitchen faucet. Had some issues getting the old one out - but I took a crowbar to it! :)

Carolb and I really do have a good time traveling together, but we have yet to just sit down and have a conversation! I know she gets up much earlier than I do, but she is so patient waiting for me. I do set the alarm for 7 which is such an awful hour!! Never been a morning person.

Time for a shower and a good night's sleep!
