Good morning, Lyn, and all that follow...

It's an indoor day for us....rained all night and still is...so I did my bills...downloaded my new counted cross-stitch program and had breakfast...then I guess it's a "do whatever I want to" day.... ;)

Nothing much more to report...all settled in here again along the salt marshes of GA....

So, got the coffee on and raisin-cinnamon english muffins ready...enjoy..

Have a great day, all

good morning ladies
hope everyone had a great new year. I had to stay off the computer yesterday as I was so lose to my data limit I didn't dare chance it
to go over. However I did get a lot done as far as dusting empty shelves and cleaning out nooks and crannies. Also worked on an afghan
I've been working on for 3 years. I do have a load of stuff that goes to the goodwill but I'm still putting stuff in that bag so I'll hold off
dropping it off till I'm all done trying on old shirts and stuff. Can't believe how much my cloths shrink over the winter :o ;) :D
Son is working for the landlord again, seems the help that was hired to do the broken water pipe a week or so ago, didn't fix it right and
we were without water once again all day yesterday. Son says landlord groveled on his knees to come back. The tenants will be
happy too cause son always kept the debris raked up out of the yards. Something the other guy never did. Things are looking good for
my departure from here in the next couple months.
Not much else going on here, ya'll have a great day, be safe and be warm.

Good morning, It is cold here too it is twenty three out and going down from there, Sunday the low will be Zero and Monday -2 only warming up to 8 :o It's been a long time since we have had temps that cold and I'm not looking forward to it as we are also having rain and snow before the real cold settles in. Oh well, I just keep thinking that Barbie said the lows there were going to be -30 and that didn't include wind chill :!: I just can't imagine! Barbie, you may never leave Florida when you get there! Lyn, 49 is cold for So CA I imagine it feels as cold to you as the twenties does to us.

Today my favorite coffee place reopens yea!!! Tonight my cousins are coming to play Mexican Train dominoes. I'll have to pretend we are on a Baja beach!

 I already told my boss that!

The weatherman said next week will be the coldest temps in 18 years! :o And it isn't even mid January yet! (which is typically the coldest week of the year)
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Good raining/pouring afternoon - no visit to the manatees just now! High in the 80s today and 59 predicted for tomorrow - but dry! I don't have to check out until 1 tomorrow so I will make it down to see them again.

I just put a deposit on a truck in Surprise, Arizona! They don't want to give an estimate on trade-in value of this truck on the phone (2 others did) so this should work well. Has more bells and whistles than I want/need, but lower price than another dealer gave me for ordering one with no bells and whistles! Don't want to think what insurance will be.

Ava, watching your data is a bit of a pain! I've had months, usually with blog posts, that I just go ahead and buy another $30 worth. Some months I know I'm over just a little and pay $10. I should have kept my old one that was unlimited - not too smart on my part.

Lyn, enjoy your visit!

Well morning has slipped away. Cold rain has stopped and temps are diving with record lows forecast here over next several days. below zero wind chills are not something we have to deal with much fortunately. Local TV stations are running warnings for people to bring pets inside or at least provide shelter and water that is not frozen solid. Cannot imagine anyone leaving pet out in this cold.
Not looking forward to going out but weather man says it is only going to get worse. I have to pick up blood pressure prescription and get gas for van.
Wide spread flu outbreak here - Swine flu type. Especially scary for me as my it claimed my father in the first outbreak back in the 70s. I have had flu shot but still trying to minimize exposure.
I'll have to catch up on the Baja blogs when I get back. Maybe reading about their warm weather will help get my mind off the cold here.
Getting closer to escape time for me. Please let it be warm in FL this time.
Stay safe.

HAPPY 2014 TO ALL!

Good late afternoon to all!

The kids and I stayed up until almost daylight on New Year's Eve, so yesterday was pretty much a day of 'rest'-----and it rained a bit on and off, so not a wasted time! We had a wonderful time, and remembered to shout RABBITS before we wished each other Happy New Year!

I got up fairly early today, called Verizon one more time to try to get someone who could walk me through fixing their website so I could pay my bill, and YES! I got a knowledgeable techie on the phone who took over my screen (with my permission) and found out how to fix it, so I got my bill paid at last! Then I went shopping for bathroom paint, door handles, (screen door handles broke over the holiday) grout for the door sills, new picture hangers as the picture fell off the wall when its tape on the edges came off----not the fault of those great removable tape hangers, and a few groceries. It is warm and very rainy here in Orlando today, but as I read the forecast for my northern home, it is already at a fixed -11 F. with a heavy wind making the chill factor about 32 below! And more snow is predicted for up there. Guess I should call my daughter, although the telephone service has been out along with power for a bit. As for the rain down here, we really need it.

I hope you all are having a wonderful time wherever you may be, and whatever your plans may be. I think the kids and I are hauling the trailer to a private campground (used to be a KOA) for mine and my son's birthday----a week from tomorrow. There is canoeing there, fishing, trails to hike----all sounds good, and Melissa has it all paid for in a deal she got from somewhere! Looking forward to seeing a new place. Stay safe and have fun!

CONGRATS to Anita for your truck purchase! I can't wait to see pics of it!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!
