Rabbits..Rabbits...Rabbits.....and a Very Happy New Year, Vicki and all that follow....

Nice little party hosted by the RV park owners last night...and since we're were all over 60 yrs. old, we celebrated and then all back in our RVs before 10pm..... ;)  Poor Spinner, he was a nervous wreck because of the fireworks....we gave him a half of a Benedryl per the Vet. to calm him down and we were all sleeping by 11pm....

Today is moving day for us, but we're taking our time...going up I95 to our friends house which is only 55miles, so we're not in any hurry....

So enjoyed Liz's blog post with her whale watching photos....they are amazing....she could earn money with them... ;)

All righty, then....better get my "surfing" done and then get the butt in gear to head up the road...

Have a wonderful 1st day of 2014, all...

Hope you all have a great start the new year. Raining like heck here in sunny FL :o & yes, Anita, you need to get OUT of "civilization."

RABBITS! (I finally read back far enough to see Nasoosie's explanation :P )

Happy New Year Everyone - hope it brings you happy travels to far & away places.

Looks like Lori partied too good last night or is already on the move. No breakfast :o I'm making waffles if anyone want some. Gotta bring your own fruit toppings tho.

Happy New Year Everyone, I hope 2014 brings us all many happy days. I went to a nearby winery last night with friends to hear one of our favorite bands. Did more dancing than I have in a long time but the happy, party atmosphere just seemed to put everyone in a dancing mood. I do notice a bit of complaints coming from my feet this morning, I'm blaming it on the Birkenstocks, not the best choice for dancing slippers :) But long gone are the days of rocking the night away in high heels.

Rabbits!! Happy New Year. May 2014 be filled with health, wealth ($ for gas), wide and level parking spots and many smooth and safe miles on the road!! My son left yesterday and flew back home to Hawaii. Daughter leaves for boot camp on Monday. Friends from Missouri are staying with us for a couple nights while visiting their kids that live nearby. Stayed up and watched the NY ball drop, had champagne and watch all the neighbors launch sky rockets. I love "ringing in the new year". Now I'm making breakfast for everyone. Eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, fruit and coffee is ready! Aloha

Happy New Year - wishing you all the very best as this year unfolds!! But I forgot to say RABBITS! :(

It was pretty quiet here - other than more fireworks that I expected being in a State Park. My younger daughter called at midnight - our tradition since she was in grade or middle school (she turns 41 in a couple months). She and her best friend took turns with New Year's Eve sleepovers so she would always call if she was away.

I am back on track after spending yesterday afternoon walking and observing the manatees. Unfortunately, the weather has turned wet, but I will get back down the the water. It's a great 10 minute walk from my campsite. Also helping was talking to LeRoy last night as we started our list of desert RZR rides for March and April. I'm being a bit picky about where we ride - I've seen some of those trails too many times. Sharon, you need to come and go with us!!

So excited for the weekend - seeing Irmi and Carolb again, meeting CArol and Kathleen! Carolb promises we don't have to be on the road at 5 a.m. as we head west! She is such an early riser and I am not plus I'm a slow starter in the mornings.

Happy 2014 to everyone. Woke up to snow this morning, not alot but enough that I'll need to go out later to get it off the sidewalk and driveway. More to come tomorrow they say. Think I'd better go fill my gas can since I might need to haul out the snowblower tomorrow! Went out a visited the Roadtrek a couple of days ago, started her up and ran the genny for awhile. the dogs settled in on the bed and seemed disappointed when I shut her down! Soon, boys, soon! Loving this site and hope for a PA gtg when the wearher warms up and travelers come back. Stay warm and safe travels.

Another gorgeous day here in SoCal! We came back from the sand dunes yesterday, uneventful and calm ride home. Got the rv unloaded and most of the stuff put away. Now for a thorough cleaning. The wind blew like a banshee for 2 days out there and Hope is full of sand! Totally worth it! The grands are driving their parents Mules and I led them out through the baby dunes when the parents were back in camp resting. Had such a great time with them! Loved it! Really didn't want to come home, but they didn't want to stay longer. Could have gone to Glamis where some of my jeep club were or could have stopped by Slab City and visited with Donna (ryegal) but just headed home.

Quiet here last nite, I didn't hear one gun or firework and didn't even hear a Mariachi band. The whole neighborhood must have left town! Holidays I'm surrounded by bands playing loud! LOL! And then of course there are the Quinecteros (sp), first holy communions, birthdays and "just because we feel like partying" parties out here.

Hope 2014 brings health, smooth roads, light breezes and happiness to all here!

Happy New Year and Rabbits! I remembered to say it at midnight! Yay! Hopefully, this will be a better year for me and my family. Last year was a little rough, to say the least!

We are at -3 below right now with a high of zero. :( It will warm up to 20 by Friday and then we go into a super deep freeze, colder than we've had in a decade, with highs in the teens below zero and lows in the 30's below zero! (that isn't including windchill!)  I really hate this climate! After watching the Rose Parade this morning, I am really missing California and can't wait to eventually get back out there!

Finally got my Nook hooked up with Wifi yesterday so was playing with that all afternoon. Just need to find some books to put on it for my trip to Florida!

Hope you all have a happy, fun and safe day and new year! :D

PS> Anita, I love your manatee photo! I will be swimming with them in the Crystal River in a few weeks!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
