Postby rvgrammy1953 » Mon Dec 30, 2013 7:36 am

Good morning, all...yep, the Weather Bug has us at 43F right now...but to be in the 60s by mid day...Have to do a run to the hospital for Ernie's re-check on his ankle and a stop at Walmart for dog food and a few other things...then back here to start the straightening and securing for the move on New Year's Day....we take 2 days for this...so we can take our time... ;)

Thank you so much for all your kind words on the counted cross-stitch...I'm so glad you all enjoy it....

Coffee's ready, and some coffee cake this morning....Help yourself...

Have a great day, all....

Good morning Lori & all to follow :D

Wow, that must have been some nasty spider/bug bite! And now where do you move to? I've lost track of you :?

So, I'm visiting Irmi everyday, & yesterday she tells me she didn't see me on MC! Well, it's her fault!!! She gave me a Sue Grafton book to read the night before, which I started, then woke up yesterday a.m. & finished it! That's why I don't read much--when I get into a book, I do NOTHING BUT READ! She gave me another one for last night, which I started, but have FORCED myself to not pick it up this morning :o

Today we gtg with Kathleen! (Glad your daughter is okay!) Looks like we might have SUN for the day, as, yep, yesterday it rained ALL day!

Y'all have a great day & be safe always! 8-)

good morning ladies
this monitoring my data usage is for the birds but I think I'll be ok till the 2nd when it rolls over into a new month. Only a few more days and I'm only at just over 75% and I'll get a text from verizon when I'm at 90%. But its the stress of it that bothers me the most. Don't want to cause my budget to get off balance.
So the car is loaded and as soon as rush hour is over I'm heading out to the rv. My shelves in my room are really empty now with the exception of a few boxes of paperwork I need to sort through, and of course the stuff I use daily, toiletries and clothing :D and of course
a couple crochet projects I've got in the works to finish up. I kinda look at them with love in my heart when I think about starting them and
got halfway through and daughter says "mom, I need a baby blanket for a friend" I think most all her friends have one now unless a new
baby comes along. :D
Not much else going on in my world, loving reading up on ya'lls travels and little gtg. Keeps me sane until my day comes. :D
Enjoy your day, be safe and be warm.

Good Morning !!! I'm back on my computer where I can type and not pick out the letters !!!! Feels soooo good   I'm at my sister's she has wifi, so I'm set as long as I stay here :D Have an appointment for service on my RV in the morning. I am almost half way to Ocala, I will head up there at least by Friday. Works out well, as my Sis and hubby have plans to leave that day too, so won't feel like I'm deserting her after such a short visit. I, of course, will come back here after my visit up there and getting the wash and wax job done, that my rig so desperately needs. Have an eye dr. visit the 15th so have to be back by then.

Other then driving up here yesterday and visiting, not much happening with me. Lazy setting in, took the sheets off my bed and have other things to wash too, but not sure I will get to any of it after I get the bed made back up, that may do me in   Told ya, lazy setting in, that and having the use of a real computer, have games on here, haven't been able to play in ages, I see right now, its going to be a struggle to make the bed up

The road situation in Mx is not a good thing. I'm glad it happened now instead of while they were on it or ready to come back. Lets pray they can make it passable when the gals are ready to come back into the states. Saw the pictures this morning, and it does NOT look good at all, looks to be a lot of work there before it can be used. Those pictures they're showing of campsite on that beach, think we're all envying them that. Water sites as you all know are my very favorite.

Ernie, sure sorry to hear of you incident with the insect, turned out to be a bad situation for you. Did the insect die ???? or did you even see it when it happened? to know for sure what it was ??? Glad to hear its all better, hope the drs think so today.

Carolb I am the same way when it comes to reading. I have always been that way. I have a book with me now that has short stories of pioneer days settling the west, that way I can finish one in short time , and not miss any visiting time etc.

No real news here, so will wish you all a good day, try to manage something fun in the time. This year is almost gone, Wow , where did the year go ???
Stay safe and warm, those who are in the real freeze areas, hoping you keep your electric, some areas are really having some problems out there, thinking of you all.

CArol :)

Morning all, So far for me is hasn't been that great. Woke up at 3:30 with a headache and realized I had forgot my afternoon coffee. ACK Not something I ever forget but the coffee place I go is closed until after New Years so my routine is off balance. I decided to try and wait till morning and that was a big mistake. I'm all better now, had my fix, a bit of self hypnosis and a short nap with my little nurses. Dogs are so sweet and always know when they need to be on duty. For me a lack of caffeine headache is worse pain than a migraine.
Ava I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you to be back in your real home very soon!! I hope Ernie gets a good report at the doctor. I like Sue Grafton books too and I understand wanting to just keep reading! I am listening to My Antonia by Willa Cather from the free books on the Audible app on my iPhone. I like that I can set the timer on it, but adjusting the speed of the reader is difficult. I'm also a fan of pioneer days especially the wagon train books.
I think the weather change or the phase of the moon has all our sleep messed up! Even DH said he didn't sleep well and that is unusual.

Good morning ladies! I slept great last night, then woke up at 8:30. Went back to bed and slept for another 2 1/2 hours!
I won't need a nap today!

Just got my Nook delivered and it is charging up now. Can't wait to play with it this afternoon!

It may actually get above zero today! With an inch of snow. They just dropped the windchill advisory too. A good day, tho, to stay home and get something done around here.

I, too, like stories of the journey west in the old days. Maybe I was there in a past life and that is why I keep wanting to head west to explore new horizons!

As far as the road collapse in Baja, there is another road inland that can be used until the new one gets replaced. So they aren't stuck down there  .

Have a great day! :D

Good Afternoon,

I am setup at Blue Spring State Park - except for the satellite. Stopped at WalMart in Deland for groceries. I have the nicest conversations with people in WalMart parking lots - usually a woman who sees me by myself with the camper. Today was with a woman who lost her husband of 59 years recently. She has a 27' MH she doesn't know how to drive. Just happens that today would have been my 47th anniversary.

Lately I have been feeling like I have lost my desire for this lifestyle, but I think it is from being in such populated areas recently and 'open' campsites. I love my site here as there is vegetation separating the sites and I can sit behind the camper without being fair game. Need wide open spaces!! :)

Hope you are all having a good day!

Beautiful day here in the dunes. Just a breeze. Yesterday we had wind, wind and more wind. Nice and warm today. Took the grands for a little putt, one drove her moms and one rode with me. Took the dirt road all the way over to Ogilby cg and then the baby dunes back to our camp. Danielle did great. Another generation of duners!

The Baha Babes can get back home just fine, don't think they took that toll road to get south. Glad Ernies ankle is better and Anita, come home!! :D

Stay warm, travel safe and have a great New Years!
