Soggy Saturday

Good morning all! :D

Damp, but no rain this morning, yet! CArol, you didn't miss a gtg; we postponed it since the weather forecast is for rain all weekend!!! :( Monday is our target date, but looking forward to seeing you when Anita arrives! Hooray, can't wait to see you & her again too...

Ava, you get the award for patience! Spending all these months prepping your rig, while still keeping your mind on work :? I'd be nuts  The BB's keeping us posted on their adventures--oh, I wanna be there!!!

Need more coffee! I have some for you too, but you'll have to wait for Lori to get breakfast  Y'all have a great day & be safe always 8-)

Good morning, Carolb, Kathleen, and all that follow....It's overcast here, too, with rain in the forecast in SE GA, also...

Ernie's doing better today....Our trip to the ER took 3 hours, but good thing we went...He has an infection in his left ankle area...possibly a spider bite is the cause...but they took good care of him....ran lots of tests, and gave him IV antibiotics and pain meds. there. Came back home with antibiotics and Ibuprofen and purple marker around the swollen area to watch....He's to make a return trip on Monday for a re-check...but he states he's feeling better and the swelling does seem to have gone down...

So since I didn't get my chores done yesterday, I'll be dodging the rain drops to the laundry room...  today....

Spent over an hour this morning, reading about the adventures of the "Baja Babes"....so thrilled for them...looks like they are enjoying their trip, so far...

Okay, while Ernie's taking a nap this morning, I'm going to go work on my cross stitch project...

Coffee's ready and some English muffins to share...

Have a great day, all...

Good morning all.
Back home from Canada for a few days then family emergency dictates that I be back up there. I am planning on heading back up soon after the first of the year.

Unfortunately I had to cancel my reservation at Hillsborough for the GTG :(

Sunny and cool now but predicted warm this afternoon.
Off and running to do banking, get a few groceries, and a much needed car wash to remove all the road salt from driving up north.

Speedy recovery to Ernie, stay dry Lori.
Have a great day everyone.

Gorgeous beautiful day here at the dunes yesterday! Looks like today is gonna be a repeat, too. AND I have a pretty good 3G signal. Life is good right this minute.

Ernie, heal fast and quit playing with spiders! :D Lori's turn to baby you.

Have a great day all!

Good Morning all,
Lori so sorry to hear about Ernie, I hope the trip to the ER fixed him up and the bite on his ankle will heal soon!! Brenda sorry you have to return to Canada and will miss your trip to FL Carolb, is it too late for you to catch up with the BB's at least for awhile? I think the trip sounds like one you would enjoy, maybe you could convince Sharon to go with :) .
We went out with another couple late yesterday afternoon to visit the Scratch Brewing Company which is in the middle of the woods way off the beaten path, but I found it easily with my GPS. They brew from things sourced locally and are getting really good reviews in magazines and online. They have unique outdoor seating, some of the seats are old church pews, around a campfire. Thankfully, since I had no idea what to expect there was also seating inside, I wasn't dressed for a campfire! First we ordered the small samples of 5 beers which we all passed around, then after selecting the favorite of the majority and the first quart was bought. It came in a brown bottle that had a screw top and looked like an old medicine bottle. We had a lovely appetizer of goat cheese and home baked beer bread which was delicious. I'm sorry that I didn't take pictures inside, it was too dark by the time we arrived to take outside pictures. I'm a cautious beer drinker as some give me a bad headache so I just sipped on the sample that I had liked best. Happy to say it seemed to agree with me as I feel fine today so next time I will be a bit more adventurous.
The sun is out and this is supposed to be our last warm day for awhile so I better go enjoy it.

It's soggy here too. It started raining sometime during the night. We are on the back side of the big area of rain but it stretches all the way to South Texas. Unless the front pushes it to the East it will probably rain all day.

Yesterday I went to Lafayette again, this time with my friend. When I called to see where she was she was at the store where someone was assaulted on Thursday . She said she felt like being assaulted. I told her that I didn't think I fell like that. Not to worry, there were 3 police cars patrolling the parking lot so probably the safest place to park. The only thing I bought was a pretzel so I'm not doing much shopping. I needed to go to Walmart but it was dark when I got back to town and I'm not going to Walmart at night.

Zero has given up on me feeding and is headed across the road to hunt. Guess I better go give the outside cats breakfast.

I am nuts, its just that coming here keeps me from going over the edge :o  the outcome gets closer everyday

all in all, good morning ladies :D
well, the pipes are dry, no water today. Seems during the night a big truck somehow managed to run over the water meter and caved
it all in. Don't know how long we will be out of water, it effects the 4 units on one side but luckily I was able to get water from the sink
in the laundry room to make a pot of coffee.
Got my car loaded up with stuff for the rv, will probably go out there sometime in the next few days. Have a few more things to sort
through and stuff it in the car.
Watching my data usage for the next few day so will catch ya all later. Have a great day, be safe and be warm.

Cooler and slightly overcast this morning on the beach. Ah, just as beautiful ... and no rain so far. I don't think the clouds I'm seeing look thick enough for rain. Time will tell. Peaches and I had a shorter walk this morning - by HER choice. I think she was hungry. We'll go back out later. Gives me a chance to post here.

Lori, hugs to Ernie and make sure that heels (deliberate misspelling ... my sense of humor at work).

Sorry some of you are having problems and having to cancel gtg's. Glad others are able to rearrange plans and make some new mini gtgs.

Good afternoon to all! We actually got some much-needed rain here today, although we could use a lot more. I have been spiffying-up cupboards, closets, shelves, etc., as well as filling storage containers for the ice box filled with the pea soup I made yesterday. I had that for breakfast, and I must say it came out yummy! I ordered, after getting a 25% off coupon, an amplified indoor antenna for my TV to see how many stations I can get. 29.99 is affordable to see if it works any better than my regular rabbit ears I have out on the porch TV. I get about 41 channels out there with those. I am so looking forward to telling Brighthouse to not renew my TV subscription this upcoming bill. We shall see-----free shipping, too! If/when the rain stops the dogs and I will go for a walk along the pond and canal, through the woods, and then home for some supper. I also need to go get a few ingredients for the lemon "brownies" recipe I copied the other day. If I like them, I know what I will do with the rest of those Myers lemons on the tree outside my trailer back at St. Cloud!

Sorry to hear about Ernie's infection, and really hope those meds heal it up in a jiffy. I so wish I had enough gasoline money to meet up with Anita and the girls in Ocala. Sigh-----Just a few more days before my retirement check deposits, and then a ton more bills to pay, including two large house insurance ones. Sorry to not have the chance to meet you, Brenda, in Hillsborough-----perhaps next year? Any news from Louise lately, or from Gayle?

Happy Saturday to all!

Good afternoon,

Cold and rainy here in the butte.

A day of rest and movie watching today.

I went to doctors yesterday. I hadn't been feeling well since Christmas Day. The doctor gave me a steroid injection and Z-pack for an upper respiratory infection.
Already feeling better since the injection.

Have a great day!
