Friday, After Christmas...

Good morning, all...was up reading until 12:30...but guess I only needed 4 hours sleep... Oh, well, will do an afternoon nap later...I'm just going to have to get use to my every other day early rising....

I see the Baja Babes have checked in... Looks like things are going along smoothly.....and such beautiful pictures so far...

The Sultan's "spider bite" seems to be getting better...those bites take awhile to heal...Benedryl and Aloe seems to be helping...will keep you all posted....

I've decided we need to lighten up the food....love holiday meals, but feeling stuffed all the time is getting old....salads and soup sound good for today...
So besides the usual coffee, there's yogurt and fruit on the table for you to enjoy...

Good Morning Lori and everyone else... I woke up at 5:30 and could not go back to sleep... have had one cup of coffee and will make another soon...
Tomorrow will be a mini GTG with Irmi Steve and a couple of others... so glad Irmi is out of the cold north country... this morning it was 54 and will warm up later to 60s... much better than back home...
Not much planned for today...

So nice to hear of everyone's Cmas & day after--yes, I do think Red's "gift" takes the prize for BEST! Louise, I didn't hear of the power outages in your area--glad you were able to help out family & friends.

I've made it to Ocala--aunt all under control, with help from her great neighbors! Got to Irmi & Steve's by 3:00 yesterday afternoon! A very happy reunion, with a little too much wine for me but they sobered me up with Irmi's great chili & garlic bread. Way too expensive for me to stay at their park for a week, so I'm doing the gas station circuit. Yes, Kathleen, will call you today about our little gtg tomorrow. CArol, are you still planning to come this way? We'll have another gtg when Anita gets to town....

The sun is out and it is supposed to be warm, well warm in comparison to what it has been It doesn't seem like Friday, but the calendar says it is so... I'll go with it. I'm enjoying the BB's reports as they enter Baja. Looks like they are having such a wonderful time in the warm sun!
A truck without a muffler woke the neighborhood this morning. They are remodeling a house across the street and choose 6:45 to come and empty the dumpster The man who bought the property is at the top of everyone who lives on this street, most annoying person list. He has been allowed by the city code inspectors to break every rule and the place has been an eyesore for years. Rumor is he is building it for doctors who are only here for short stays. They will just love the fact that he hasn't lined the crawl space in the addition, just piled a lot of debris in on top of the dirt and installed the sub-flooring. A mold problem just waiting to happen and illegal in some areas. I'm sure though that each renter will be dutifully advised by one or all of the neighborhood good citizens.
Time to start the day, Toby my little time keeper, is muttering that breakfast is late!

Good Morning All, Yes, the present for "Red" was the best!!! Reunions, gtg's in Florida and the Baja Gals are having fun in the sun!!! Couldn't wish for more happy people. lyn

good morning ladies
cereal for breakfast and then I'm going to get the car loaded up with stuff that goes back to the rv. Sorted out some yarn, found my two
skeins of silk yarn have been looking for that for a year. Planning on making a really nice scarf for somebody with it as I only have the
two small skeins. My son will be real happy to gain some storage space back as I haul this stuff out of here.
Will also get the old uniforms out, washed up and return to work. Some of them I haven't even worn as I stick to what I have until it wears
out. We get new ones every year so I have alot and the new people appreciate being able to get uniforms without having to wait for an
order to get in.
Enjoying the Baja blog and can't wait for the next posting.
Ok, gotta go catch up on other blogs and posts and get that car loaded up. Ya'll have a great day, be safe and be warm.

Waiting for flight to Cleveland. Parking was. But difficult because of cars taking to RV spaces. Grrrr I think I like traveling by Rv a lot better than airports. Feel like part of herd of cattle.

Glad Baja group is having fun.

Oh, and I saw another big horn sheep this morning--my fourth ever.

Morning is about gone here and not a really good one other than there is sunshine.

Just found out this morning I have to replace a central heat/air system - big expense I do not need right now. Trying to be thankful for other little things however. I was grumping about having to start taking Required Minimum Distributions from retirement (forced by age and gov't regulations so they can collect taxes) but with it I can pay for the new system without having to cancel plans to go to FL next month. Another positive aspect is newer systems are more energy efficient.

Niece is having a rough time with chemo. Part of treatment they put her on is known as "Red Devil", very aggressive and toxic but with good results for most. The prognosis for her is good so that is encouraging.

Think I'll pay some bills then maybe try to get out and enjoy a little of the sunshine and temp back into mid50s this afternoon.

Hoping to get my RV washed and waxed while in Ocala area. Kathleen, wondering if your CG would allow, they haul their own water supply, no chlorine. Not sure where your CG is either, not on my CG Apps, so no ph #. Would you send info to me so I can find you , Please ?? You have my email ??

Time to leave the playground, kids are ready.
