Good Morning everyone,

Just started and posted a thread when I noticed another one had popped up after I sent mine, so am moving it over here. Hope you all had a wonderful day yesterday celebrating with family and friends or just having a quiet day by yourselves.

Was a wonderful day here yesterday. Mass on Christmas Eve was beautiful and when I got home, I found that Santa was here while I was gone. Got a few little gifts from the owners here which was a surprise. Nice candle holder with some battery votive candles and a pretty little candle mat to set it on. Plus a few munchies to eat. Then the TX group fixed up a HUGE mess of food and invited myself and owners down to feast in early afternoon. Then I was visiting with owners later on and more munchies. I'm so full of food that I think I could go into hibernation and live off body fat like the bears do for the rest of the winter

Not sure what today will bring. Will let come what may. Hope the Baja gang had a nice Christmas down in MX. Am looking forward to hearing what everybody got from Santa yesterday. Any new rigs out there? Red, that was wonderful of your husband to fly your son home for Christmas. It brought tears to my eyes reading it. Such a wonderful Christmas gift.

So have a great day out there today all. Keep warm, dry, safe travels for those on the road.

Good Morning I feel like you Sue… way too much food… the end has come oatmeal and blueberries and will set timer for 3 hours and get back on the right schedule… I feel very bloated…
I watched the Life of Pi last night… it was a strange movie I must say…
Another beautiful day is in store here… hopefully good enough to put my rugs out and dust the floors… but I am not awake yet so time will tell…
I hope you all have a wonder day where ever your feet take you…

Good Morning All, Had a quiet day around here. Played Christmas Carols all day on the radio. My iPad was my present so used it to communicate with family. Family members flying to NH landed safely. Two more flying there today.
Sue, liked hearing of your Christmas. Sounded pretty special for you. Those Texans are nice people!
Everyone have a great day...lyn

Good Morning!

Sue, sounds like a fun Christmas! I'm still thrilled for Red.

After the great phone conversations yesterday, my daughter then e-mailed me several photos of various happenings. Great present!

I will start thinking about getting this place cleaned up and ready to move on.

Have a good day all! Can't wait for the Baja Babes to report in!

Good morning, late...we had a nice Christmas here at the Big Wheel...the pot luck was great, but too much food....The Sultan got some kind of insect bite (I think it was a spider) and since he's allergic to bees already, it swelled up and made walking difficult yesterday as it's located on his left ankle...but is doing better today with the help of ice, benedryl, anti-itch cream, and my Aloe plant....but he did walk Spinner this morning...slowly... ;)

Since we've got rain here today, we're staying in and just being lazy...but we did get our little tree put away....living in a small space makes you do things like that earlier than in the pass....but the outside lights are still up...we'll take them down before we hit the road again next week...

Okay, new pot of coffee on and some Christmas cookies to share....

Have a great day, all...

Running late today. I went to Lafayette to shop. The stores weren't crowded but the traffic is still crazy. I went to 5 stores to find a gift for my son's girlfriend. Things are really picked over and I didn't see anything I couldn't live without. I heard on the news while ago that a woman was assaulted in the Mall parking lot. It has been something everyday for the last month, robberies, shootings, home invasions, 2 bank robberies. People are just going nuts.

I was miserable after dinner yesterday. Just too much food. I usually eat off a saucer or lunch plate. A dinner plate of food is just too much. I'm not cooking a big meal for New Years.

Running late today, too. Getting Hope loaded for Glamis and New Years in the sand! Be back sometime next week. Might even have some internet out there since we'll be close to Yuma this time. Had a great Christmas with the kids and they smoked a turkey. It was sooo goood! And I ate waaay to much! Came home with leftovers, too. I made the dressing, good old country cornbread and pecan, and had a package of baby squash I brought to saute with olive oil, garlic and rosemary. My daughter baked some yams and made a broccoli casserole that was really good. Nothing fancy, just good food.

Leaving out of here at 5 in the morning, so just in case I can't get online Happy New Years to all!!

I guess I missed the day after, but am catching the night after! I am back in Orlando tonight after a week of Christmasing in St. Cloud. We had a wonderful time with Melissa's family! Her niece is just 2 and a half years old----perfect for Christmas surprises! I missed Orion, but Cali was a great stand-in! We celebrated early as they had to leave on Monday, and then the kids and I celebrated again on the real day, yesterday!

The kids had to go back to work today for two days, and will work next week until New Year's Eve, I believe. We might stay here and try to go to Sea World to see all the beautiful decorations before they are taken down. We shall see how things go----mainly how my money goes to see if I can afford to buy me another pass as mine has expired. The kids' passes are still good, I think, so we might be able to do it.

Red what a super surprise for you this year! No presents are better than a surprise visit from family!

I took some pictures of the beautiful roses that bloom outside this house each Christmas since my father planted them in the 1980s, but posting pics here has become a chore I can't seem to force myself to do any more. Photobucket and the steps I need to go through to post them has turned me off to pictures. Facebook is so easy to post pics, that I now use that for pictures. But those of you with patience enough to post are to be encouraged and congratulated, as it is really fun to see pics!

I saw that the Bajaians are in a beautiful seaside spot for the night! It looks gorgeous there! I hope they all have a great and relaxing time.

I hope we all have the best new year of our lives in 2014-----how can so many years have gone by since I was born??? Good grief-----where does the time go.

Time to go start making my split pea soup from the hambone we had for Christmas dinner.....my favorite part of a huge meal is the soup to follow!

Happy Thursday to you all!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!
