Old RV, New RVer

Come on in and say hello.

Old RV, New RVer

Postby teresaran » Fri Dec 20, 2013 8:55 pm

Hello everybody!
I am brand new to the RV world. I just bought a 97 Holiday Rambler Endeavor LE and I already LOVE it. I bought the RV in Phoenix AZ and had to drive it all the way back to Manhattan, Kansas right after I bought it. I didn't know a thing about RVs before I headed out, but I can tell you that I learned a lot on the quick two-day trip. I had some hiccups, and quite a few learning experiences, but I feel that I learned things so much more quickly this way. It was kind of a sink or swim sort of situation. I can proudly say that I made it home with my two fur-babies in one piece, and the RV in only two pieces:) That's a story for another time. I have some work to do on the rig, both inside and out, but it is the most exciting thing I have done. I will be retiring from the US Air Force in a year and a half and plan to be a full timer until I get bored or the money runs out, hopefully neither of those occur! I look forward to reading your threads and hope that I can learn from everyone's experiences. Merry Christmas!

Welcome & Merry Christmas, Teresa!
Finally someone from the midwest!!! I'm in Overland Park - maybe we can have a little GTG (get together) once the weather improves.
We even have a real GTG scheduled for October in Council Grove, KS - it'd be a great opportunity to meet some of this group. Check out the GTG thread - look for 'Midwest - Flint Hills (KS)'. I'll get more details in there once we can start making reservations.
Sounds like you'll fit in well witih this gang - can't wait to see pics of your rig.
If you make it to KC, send me a PM & maybe we can meet up. :D (with or without rigs - my vans in storage for the winter :( )

Hi ladies, thank you for the welcome. I'll have to get some pics so I can tell my story of the RV in two pieces. I'll probably wait until Monday since everything is turning white outside right now. Until then, I hope you all have a very wonderful weekend. :D

Welcome! The Midwest GTG is really scheduled for September - I think Catherine had a memory blip. :D

I usually spend time at Tuttle Cove each year as I have family in Riley so will hopefully catch you next trip!
