Fascinating little video! Cell, wifi and microwave oven free area...

Couldn't live there, I'd starve as I'm the microwave queen. And no internet???? Yikes.

I think that's neat! It basically forces the community to retain the sense of community that is so lacking now days.

Thanks Sharon.
It's only a few hours from me. I checked their website and they have tours and such. Something to plan for a Spring getaway.

The one young woman said they had internet, just no wifi. If it stays in the wire the are ok, its things that broadcast.

While the phones are a convenience it's also interesting how quickly people become attached to the phones and social media. One of the things I like about camping is leaving the phones on the counter and going outside to enjoy the day.

Love it - and I think families are most likely better off - while I love technology, I love it best when some things are kept in their place.

I think it's cool - even if it's because of research and not an actual way of life (unless I misunderstood). I don't have a home phone or a 'smart' phone, just have a texting cell phone. My job is in technology and I'd really rather not deal with some things when I'm not at work. Yes, I may get better phone when I get on the road, but for now, I like the peace & quiet.

People are actually talking to each other, not on their ipads sitting across the table from each other. I think this is a neat place but I would be lost without some of the technology. When I am working during the summer I do live without my microwave but when I am home I'd be lost without it.
