Postby rvgrammy1953 » Sat Dec 14, 2013 5:00 am

Good morning, all...Am watching the Weather Channel...Wow, lots of snow headed for the family in PA...but they are use to it....We're to get rain later in the morning to continue thru tomorrow....Much rather jump the puddles than to shovel snow..... ;)

Not much planned for today....just to watch the Army-Navy game later in the afternoon....Ernie has a short run to the store for a couple of things...I'll work more on that counted cross stitch project...if I keep at it, I think I'll be done by maybe next Saturday....  ;)

All righty, then....got the coffee ready and how's cream of wheat sound this morning...with some toast....??

Have a great day, all...

good morning ladies
up and at'em :D
laundry is in the machine doin its thing and will pick up Liz later and go check out the Pueblo Grande Museum and Archeological site. Will
catch up with Tina after that and see how Audrey did at the dog show. Will be a busy day :D
Interesting using my cell as my internet hot spotted to the computer, its been a test over this past month to see how much data I actually
use, think I'm going to increase it one more gigabyte cause its not even half way through the billing cycle and I'm already over 1/2 of my
data. Its still cheaper than paying for the cable internet as that was $61, I think adding another gigabyte to my cell phone costs me another $20. Will have to look that up again.
Maggie finally decided to get up so guess its time to throw on my robe and take her outside. Catch ya'll later.

Good Morning to All - Have to laugh Bill just got up turned the heater on and went back to bed...and here we are on the beach in Huatabampito, MX where it will be 80 later today! And I'm looking at pictures our house sitter sent us of piles of snow at our home.
The seagulls heard Bill getting up and are now standing out front and squawking....check yesterdays blog and you'll see why...he feeds them a lot.
Guess we'll be staying here longer then we planned too. Getting the graphics on the Alfa removed then painted on. Will take a few days - hope we don't have any wind for awhile.
The sun just came over the mountain - very pretty.
If you're traveling travel safe. If you're in the new storm - hunker down ...it too shall pass hopefully.

Good Morning Everyone,

Weather seems to be the word for the whole country so far this month. One storm after the other. Looks like a real mess for the NE again. This are here is not getting any of the storms due to their passing through the mid part of the country, but we are getting the wrap around winds from some of them. Right now though, it's about 6 above zero here this morning. Much better than temps being below zero and the windchills even more so. Winter doesn't really set in here till January. Although farther NW of here into the Keweenaw Peninsula (that finger sticking up into Lake Superior), they have been getting hit with lake effect snows.

I have a suggestion for some of you who are dealing with he cold down in IL and those areas who really aren't used to all the snow and cold you are getting. Get yourselves some nice heavy weight fleece plants even if you have to go online for them. I have about three pairs and I not only have been wearing them inside this week, but they make excellent insulators if you slip them over your regular slacks or pants when you go outside. Makes the cold much more tolerable. I sometimes wear them over mine when I walk Sassy on a not so bitter cold day. Let's face it ladies. Fashion is out when the weather is cold and snowy. Being warm is the big thing. I usually get the men's cause they are a little more roomy than the ladies. Also sizes tend to run a little big.

A bit of house cleaning on the agenda here this morning. Won't take long in this place. Already ran the vac late yesterday and have some dusting wipes along to do that part of cleaning with, then do a bit in the bathroom as well. Change over of towels, washcloth etc. and maybe start decorating some today. Also will venture out to get a local paper as the week's TV guide is in today's edition.

Looks like all the workers are working today. Usually the don't work on weekends, but maybe they are making up some time for Christmas. I understand that they are only supposed to have that day off and that's all.

So, those of you in the path of more snow and ice, keep safe and warm, snuggle in and make Christmas cookies or send out cards, decorate the house or a tree. Ava, enjoy your GTG with Liz. Everybody else have a wonderful day.

Good morning
Cold wet day here but above freezing.
Need to start some soup in a while. If anyone has a favorite pumpkin soup, please post. Mine today will be a Green lemon chicken, I think.
After yesterday's good report from my doctor, starting count down for FL trip - roughly one month - give or take a day depending on weather.
I was kidding when I posted about the lottery ticket yesterday as I seldom buy them and AL does not have a lottery. Then friend called wanting to go to TN for tickets so I went along. My ticket only won $2.00 :x , not enough to hire someone for tasks I don't want to do.
Hope you have a good day.

Good Morning to all!

I've been up since about 7:45, but have been reading and making short comments on Facebook instead of tackling this site with a longer post. I'm back at my trailer in St. Cloud, the weather is at 80 degrees in the sun, my son is mowing this front field, and later I will mow their back field for them. I love sitting on a tractor to mow, unlike my walk-behind-and-push mower back home in the mountains! The dogs are happy to get in some free run time!

Off we go now to get the Christmas tree from somebody selling them! Happy Saturday to all!

Good afternoon all:)

Glad to hear your news, Sarah! Off to FL soon:) Cold and snow hitting my NY hometown today/night. I almost miss it. Actuallu feeling somewhat lonely for my own home for the holiday :( I've spent many Cmas times alone (with poopers) but this is the first away from home alone.

Well, I'm still at aunt's, but nothing holiday-ish here, except a few dish towels lol. I'm taking a break from housecleaning today. Tended to some HB things--propane, holding tanks--then took a drive through some very pretty horsefarm country.

Looks like some rain for here tonight which will be a nice change.

Hope y'all have had a great day!
