Good Friday Morning, all...

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Good Friday Morning, all...

Postby rvgrammy1953 » Fri Dec 13, 2013 5:01 am

TGIF and I'm back to my old routine.... Up at 4:30am and wide awake...so here I sit with my coffee, listening to the Weather Channel, and catching up online...

Normal winter temps now hitting GA....but the sun promises to show up today...we plan a trip up the highway to visit our friends for a couple of hours and so that Spinner can have "doggy play time" with his friend "Diamond"....

Not much else to report from this part of the country....so, help yourselves to the coffee and oatmeal with brown sugar... ;)

I'll check back later...

And of course, have a great day, all.... :D

Good Morning from the U.P. too,

Not a bad morning out. Seems a tad warmer, maybe cause the wind is calm. One thing about the weather in this area, with the winds blowing the way they have, it's been very cold wind chill wise, but no snow to speak of other than some light dustings at night which have probably totaled about an inch all week. Had I stayed home for Christmas, I would be dealing with the cold and a mess of lake effect snow that needs blowing almost every day. So I'm glad I'm here. Maybe condo life in the winter isn't so bad.

Barbie, do you have forced air in your apt.? Some complex's have individual furnaces in each unit and others have one for the entire place. You seen to have this constant cold hanging on and I wondered perhaps if filters need changing. You might have an allergy to something, maybe even your pets sorry to say. Just a thought. And yes, we may warm up into the mid 20's early next week. Darn it, I didn't bring my shorts along either

Sounds like everybody's in the winter doldrums already and it's only mid December. Another big storm heading across the middle states. Might be the "perfect storm" for NE they are saying. Gonna be nice when we start heading to spring and start talking about RVing and trips etc., which this forum is really about. right now, who can get interested in that other than those in FL or the Baja bunch.

So who's decorated for Christmas alreadyd? I need to put up my tree and lights in here. Maybe this weekend. Right now having a debate as to whether or not to head for Marquette. Would like to go bum Menard's and maybe Gander Mountain. Weather looks okay for traveling, course I'm used to that anyway.

Have a nice day everyone, keep warm, keep safe, enjoy your travels if on the road down south, etc. etc.

Good morning from beautiful Arizona! Thistle and I are planning one more hike this morning, then heading to Phoenix to join Tina. I'm looking forward to meeting you, Alice, this weekend. Seems like I've known you a long time already.

Good Morning oh yes Lori oatmeal with brown sugar is great will have a bowl… thank you… oh I use splenda brown sugar… and either blue berries or raisins… am having a cup of white unsweetened grapefruit juice now… thought I was out but in searching for the 15 beans I found it… how lucky can one be… have found my batteries, laundry coins and now grapefruit juice… maybe I need a lottery ticket think?

Cool here have the little fire place on and also the furnace keeping it a toasty 73 in here…

Oh Barbie there are so many bugs that hang around just waiting for us to breath in… do open the windows and doors at least once a month… changes the air in the cold months…

Sue so glad you are enjoying your winter retreat… a good change from the deep snow…

Will have 15 bean soup and cornbread for dinner… love that!

Good Morning All, Got so warm the past couple of days I had to open the patio door to cool the condo off. The cat loves to go sit and sleep out on the patio. South facing.
Sue, was it you who asked about decorating for Christmas? Well, I bought a poinsettia plant for the living room. I do love others Christmas decorations tho and we have several around here.
Have a safe day, lyn

A little late for morning, but better late than never, right? :D

I think it is the extremely dry air that is not helping my cold any. Maybe need a humidifier. Even Coco starts coughing a dry cough in the middle of the night, until I make him drink some water (he won't drink it on his own for some reason). I know it isn't the animals. I actually sneeze more at work than I do at home. I wish I could open windows or my slider for some fresh air but they are all frozen shut.

Picked up some books from the library after stopping at my dad's this morning, so I will read, nap, and do some laundry today.

Have a fun, safe and happy day! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Good afternoon
Still cold here but above freezing for next 24 hours - good thing as 1"+ rain forecast starting this evening.
Niece had surgery to install port yesterday. Chemo to start next week.
My oncologist meeting made getting out in the cold worth it. No significant change in the blood markers being monitored so I have another year, then redo tests. What a relief.
Need to figure out how to sneak something fun - or at least more interesting - on to my mundane to do list. Progress slow as I'm having hard time staying focused on any one task to get it complete.Maybe I'll chunk it this afternoon and go buy a lottery ticket. If I win, could hire someone else to do the tasks I like least
Have a good day.
