My nephew has a repair shop here so he has been working on it to see what the problems were. thought
all was ok took it home and didn't plug it in which one should do up here especially diesel...so that was a big problem
then I didn't start it every day another problem when it didn't even turn over he sent his handy tow truck to pick it
up went up this afternoon as dd was suppose to have some work done on her car found out that it was the battery which he said
was strange has they have tested good..and being a diesel needed both replaced at the same time but he said probably under warrentee
whew that is nice!!! so new batteries and hopefully I don't fall and break my arm I will be on my way tomorrow afternoon

We checked out Sam's Town Hotel & RV Park last year after leaving WY....Didn't stay there as we had the AFB in Vegas as an option....but Ernie's says it's pretty easy to get to from the inter-state...a little close in the RV Park, but the price is right and the casino is right there...discounts for staying in their park at the casino, I think, for food and playing the slots.... ;)

Thank you all for the name we have stayed several times at a campground which I can't remember but it was as I recall the streets being narrow not sure if I like that not feeling that comfortable so it the sites are close or is it the streets are narrow..haven't made up my mind either way yet...
Got my truck got my trailer (which was parked about an hour north of my dd's) so got to SLC which is sorta what I planned when I realized the time I would probably be picking up the trailer ...knew I would hit SLC and or Provo rush hour traffic and in the dark so decided to make it a very short day and be able to visit with my kids here...the inside of the trailer was 32 the refreg was 24 I think so most every thing is frozen...went and got a space heater just a small on the kind you tuck under your work desk  so it's blowing right on me not relishing the thought of getting into bed...perhaps I will through back the bedding and let the space heater warm it up for awhile ....the plan is tomorrow to get up and head south hopefully all will go well and I can...but I cruised at 55-60 coming and on some of the downhill 65 so got power...hooked up new batteries and got a extension cord so the truck is plugged in...should be ok

Sheila, the streets and roads in the park you're in right now are narrower than I bet that one we're talking about in Vegas is.

Strangest thing happened last night! I was sitting on my couch reading when all of a sudden I got dive bombed by a huge bee! It was so loud and almost hit my head. Scared the crap out of me! I got up to look for him and when I did, he seemed really out of it and not very strong. I caught him in a bag and took him outside where I am sure he died later, since he seemed half dead anyways. Not sure where he came from or how he got in here tho. All I can think of is he got in thru the air conditioner somehow. There are a couple of holes in the bottom of the AC unit that lead outside, so I plugged them up in case other bees decide to come in.

Sure wasn't expecting that kind of visitor this time of year!

sitting and relaxing, just enjoying the nice warmer weather we had finally come in today. We had a slight breeze early this morning and I couldn't believe how warm it felt. Did my trip to the social security office during my break, had some questions answered that will help me
make that monumental decision that is soon approaching. :D Think I'm gonna go for it, however she did tell me when I turn 69 to come back in and refile under ex's social and I will get a SIGNIFICANT increase cause the ex will be 62. (yea, I robbed the cradle on that one) Unless he
dies before that, then I can come in and refile. But I still haven't made that very final decision, will reserve that for January.
Caught up on Mitch's blog, :D and so glad she's enjoying this sunshine finally. But it does get cold at night Mitch, sorry. Expect to see Tina
land in town anytime and then Liz.

Got to Q tonight just as the sun was setting last thing I wanted to do is set up in the dark...so opted for a campground and hook ups all though right now all that I'm using is electricity. not sure what I will do in the am try and dump or just wait...I'm sure that what was in the black tank is or was frozen...I still had ice/snow in Mesquite ....
A lot to do and not sure which to do first...and look forward to seeing Liz and Tina on Monday that will be so much fun
Tomorrow out to the desert

Temps are warm there now, right, Sheila? Put more water into the tank and it should all easily dump tomorrow with the sun out. I remember my valves frozen and when I opened the door to them so the sun hit them - they were usable and it was still below freezing. Should all be good :)

Glad you are safely there and can't wait till you are set up and happy in your spot in Q.

I'm at Sam's. With the tiny sites here and the heavy traffic on the road going past, I am getting a bit claustrophobic. There's an older Walmart across the street but even getting in and out of it is a struggle! Too used to being in empty campgrounds in big open spaces!! Can't wait to get out of here.

Did a lot of shopping and got a few things fixed at Camping World. My water pump had been working off and on, and was giving me major problems getting it to prime. The last month, I have had to have campgrounds with water because I could not trust it. Turns out it was barely threaded on where it attached in the very back to the water pipes, so was probably sucking air. They tightened it, so hopefully it will allow me to dry camp as an option occasionally.

Other thing was my one side of the kitchen sink. A couple of months ago, I got energetic about scrubbing it and removed too much of the putty around the drain. It needed to be reset so I had them do that. I could probably have done it, but I am getting too old to be sticking my head under a kitchen sink.

Also, found a bike shop where they put a new inner tube on my front bike tire while I waited. Then got myself some new slippers and a winter hat and gloves for going back to Ohio! More errands and a bit of exploring tomorrow and then on to Lake Mead or somewhere. Don't know yet.

Judy, glad to hear "things" are getting fixed for you. If it is convenient for you, stop at Valley of the Fire. I believe it is all boon docking, but worth a stop. lyn

She's easy to find - especially if she puts out her Road to Nowhere signs :)
