Unusal Christmas Tree Decorations

Good Morning All - I was complaining to Bill when we got up that it was cold here in San Carlos, Mexico - had to turn the heater on for 10 minutes.
Then I read some of the post from every one else - guess I should shut up. It probably went down to 45 here last night but will get up to low 70s during the day. At home Indiana the highest temperature for the week will be 29. And quite a bit of snow.
We were in Guaymas the other day just driivng around looking for a building I wanted to see - never did find it. But we did some unusual Chrisstmas tree decorations. And when we got home Bill made some crepes. yum posted about it in the blog

That is TOO funny! I've seen a lot of different kinds of Christmas ornaments, but "skivvies" on a Christmas tree just about takes the cake!!

Speaking of crepes...we had friends from France visit in Sept of 2001 and he fixed crepes one evening for dessert. He served with a squeeze of lemon juice and powdered sugar and a little butter and they were yummy. One of these days I gotta dig out his recipe.

Thanks Carol, I will get it from my library. I see you will be going to Los Mochis...several years ago I got to ride on the Cow Catcher of the train that goes up through the Copper Canyon! Wonderful, exciting life time adventure I will never forget! One would never get to do that in the US...We got off at Creel and rode a little bus down to Botopilis. That trip took 8 hours for the 100 miles down. This narrow dirt road was pretty scary and we would every once and awhile see a truck down below that had fallen off the road!!! We experienced the Cinco de Mayo parade of all the school kids in their very nice clean shirts that had to be washed in the river! That was a great trip. lyn

For some reason, I was thinking the House of Shells was going to be a small house with shells stuck all over the outside of it.

Are there many shells on the beaches there?

There are quite a few shells on the beaches here - but nothing special - guess the pretty ones are way out in the water.
I know one would think it would be more than a little store in a building. But I guess because the buidling was older and ornate it was an easy way to identify it. .....
