Good Morning, Barb, and all!

Happy to see you in your kitchen this morning, Barb! It sounds as if you spent a good day resting your back yesterday. I'm glad your fur babies are with you to keep you company and get you to move at least once in a while! Another day of rest sure can't hurt, so find some good books, or something, to keep you down again today.

We are at 43 deg. F. here this morning, which is NOT normal by any means for this time of year up here. Rain is on the way for this afternoon and tonight, which will wreck our Winter Carnival activities, not to mention melt our ice palace, or make it very unstable as the blocks will begin to slide and tumble. Sigh-----such a beautiful building it is now, but may be a goner by tomorrow morning, as they will have to bulldoze it down if it becomes an 'attractive nuisance' for all the people flocking to town to participate in the carnival. I haven't even had a chance to see it lit up at night yet. I'd better bring my camera to school with me today so I can get some shots of it this afternoon, if it's still up.

All those of you out near OK and all the states in the path of that warm front with tornadoes, please keep a watchful eye to the sky. That's a nasty front, and should be avoided, if at all possible.

If you are in good weather today, find something fun to do outside and send us some pics!! I always look forward to reading about your day when I get back from school!

Happy Wednesday!

Beautiful graphic this morning Barb....but you're right, I don't think I can get into that position anymore and it sure wouldn't be good for that back!

It's going to be a slow day here today....I'm getting impatient for the handyman to finish renovating that room...it's taking a lot longer than he predicted. No sense in cleaning thoroughly until he's done dust is settling everywhere in the house. He had a compressor running outside near where I have the rv parked, so it was too loud to play in there too. Maybe some yard work today...it looks like the weather will be nice.

Hope you all enjoy your day.

Zeee, loved your graphic ... how did you know what I look like in the morning as I lounge in bed? Looks like you're feeling better today. It's a balmy 29 degrees here in Salt Lake City (sweater weather), and we're between storms today.

It's not often I get up early enough to post this high up on the "morning coffee" thread. My friend Frank is taking me out for an early Valentine's Day dinner as I'll be otherwise occupied this weekend. The 45th International Women's Conference ("Language of the Heart") is going to be in Salt Lake City this weekend, and I'll be presenting a workshop on how to survive emotionally when tragedy strikes. I know that all too well ... as do many of you. I was honored when they asked me to share my experience, strength and hope.

I hope you all have a terrific day.

Goooood Morning Sistahs!!!!

I do not want to be up this morning. But I had to get up and do the potty thing And Shade had been bugging me for a bit too. Telling me "get up Mom, I gots to go"!!! She did too!! She didn't waste any time getting off that deck and doing her thing this morning! Not like David's dog Honey. Even tho she hasn't been out for hours, she will monkey fart around out on the deck, nose in the air sniffing what the wind is bringing her. Almost always I have to get after her to "go on" and chase her off the deck. Sometimes she will simply lay down right in the gate opening and pretend she's a Lady of leisure. When I chase her off the deck, she will then got maybe 10' and pee. Dang dog!!!

I've sat here already and started to doze off. hehehe Right in the middle of reading my eyeballs went closed and my head did a big dip! Rude awakening, at least I've never banged my head on the table or fallen out of my chair.

Love that graphic this morning Barbz! But then I am real partial to fairies and dragons. But she's a beauty for sure. I don't think I would be laying in that position for long. I think I could do it, but only for a few minutes! But then again? Thinking about a hammock? I have fallen out of a few of them so maybe not!

Kelly and I are really hoping that this coming week that we will get to go back on day shift. They have brought the training class out, set them with all of us to have them listen in on calls. So just maybe they will hit the floor this coming week and we can go back to day shift. YAY!!! Love the idea of getting out of work while there's still daylight left. And it's a whole lot easier to find a parking place if ya work days too. The parking at that place is crap. I can't even begin to tell ya how many cars have been clobbered up there while parked. Them people do not know how to drive or back up. Good grief!!!

Ok better get it in low gear and to moving slow! Read the other postings, step outside to enjoy the weather for now, (it's suppose to rain), take a shower then get dressed, But first got to do my clicks for breast cancer and animal rescue and of course my comic fix! :D
Think I'm gonna have a bowl of cereal this morning with a couple slices of toast and peanut butter.

Hope everyone has a great day, stay safe. Please if anyone is in the path of those storms in the mid-west for goodness sake keep you eyes open, the weather radio on and batten down the hatches!!!! They sure did look ugly on TV last night.

Love to all

Hello to all - miracle of miracles I managed to get on line this a.m. Has been real iffy the last couple of days here. Our compressor is rebuilt and put back and a new breaker was found and installed so we now have air conditioning again. But someone was looking out for us as the last two days have been cool. In fact yesterday I never took my sweat shirt off all day. Only cost $125 for the repair and they worked on it here for two full days and back in the shop. RV places in states charge $140 an hour!!! Ouch. Today we are supposed to get the fiberglass spoiler on the front fixed - or I should say taken off. It just gets in the way and is cracked and looks terrible.
But The Driver says we don't need to be here so hoping we can go up to little town of La Noria where there is a tequilla distillery. Also the town is known for the saddles, huarachjes and belts made there. We'll see. The drive up there is supposed to be through fields of blue agave. Have to be back here by 5 p.m. though as there is a soccer game on he wants to see. Went downtown to the beach last night to watch the sunset. Nice. The town is getting ready for Carnival. Lots of lights up and neon masks on all the light poles. Starts the 19th - will be out of here by then.
Barb take care of your back. It was a year ago that Bill has his surgery. He is 100% all right now.

Morning all y'all. Bright and sunny here in Texas and 53 degrees. Thought I was gonna blow away last night - was really rocking and rolling. Blew one of my tire covers off and blew it into the bushes about 30' away. Hope anyone in the tornado area is okay - please check in and let us know you're okay. There's just not much going on here. I'm starting to get anxious to hit the road March 9th. Hung a birdfeeder outside my rig and have been really going through birdseed. Last night I found out why - the deer! The dogs started barking like crazy about 10pm and when I looked outside there was a big deer eating my birdseed. Dogs didn't even scare him. The tree the birdfeeder is hanging in is so small I can't even hang it higher. Oh well, the birds are at least getting the seed bells I hang out, too. Well, dogs whining at the door. Hope everyone has a great day.

I hear you on the "shop rate" in Mexico. From reading Tioga and George Blog, I hope I am in Mexico when I want major work done on my MH. I will be able to afford it. Glad to hear that the back is getting better. Sorry about the "ice melt" ---- timing on the weather is all, and it often does not cooperate. SW Ohio is warmer again today. After visiting the Health Care Facility yesterday, the pups waited in the car while I pondered, and pondered, and pondered....the purchase of a new camera - that would be smaller to carry around and easier to take pictures quickly. See Beth, I am working torwards a goal. Either way, it was a good reason to get a new camera. The technology has improved so much on the small digital cameras in the last 7 years - since I bought my last one :) - and the prices have definitely gone down. I will read the directions today and see if I made a mistake - It was one of those good deals from Circuit City - going out of business - so i have to like it or re-gift it. No going back on this one like the phone :)

Afternoon all,

Barb, glad the back is better and give it another day or so without overdoing it. Boy did we have some wicked weather last night! Lots of thunder, lightening and wind. The puppies were going nuts. Only have so much room in the lap. My oldest puppy, she will be 15 this May, was so scared her teeth were chattering, the others were trying to find any place to hide. We came out of it fine. A little clean up and we are good to go. Southwest (Near Okla City) was where the tornados hit. It is so scary at night, not being able to see anything.

Soos, hope the carnival gets to go as planned. Not wishing frigid weather on anyone, but just for the duration of the carnival.

Take care all,

Linda
