Mornin Ladies

Still no snow in Chicagoland yet - but maybe an 1-3 expected tomorrow.

Hoping Lori got a better nights sleep than yesterday - - - can't wait for the story of Spinner meeting his new cousin.

Hope the weather gets warmer for the ladies traveling. Sorry to hear Birdie may head home from the adventure.

Have a good day everyone & stay safe.

Good morning, Cheryl and all that follow.... :)

Really foggy here this morning and humid, too...20% chance of rain today, so we won't plan much for outside just in case....
Spinner hasn't met Lady Belle, yet....that will happen this coming July when we are back in that area...Barb told me that the breeders must have been working with Lady before she came to live with them, cause as of yesterday, Lady hasn't had an accident, yet, in the house....so potty training is going well, so far...

Not much else going on here...I will say the RV Park here goes all out on the Christmas decorations....very nice, though, well done and pretty....

Okay, coffee's ready here and have orange rolls ready....enjoy! :)

And have a great day, all....

I just sent Tina an email telling her that Abby and I are staying put today. I found a website for a tv station in the direction were headed (Junction, Kimble County). Their weather video said that there is freezing rain falling and to stay indoors if you can. I can. If it was jst me, I'd chance it. But I don't want to take the chance with the Beast...she's a delicate little thing.

So if Karen will have me AGAIN (I offered to take her out to dinner...maybe that'll convince her to let us stay!)

DANG, it's COLD!!!

Good Morning everyone… good choice Mitch staying put is the best option… when storms were going through Alabama a few years ago… I got a message from both Wendy and Sarah to stay put… after all what are a couple of days… The big ones did not hit until later after I had gotten home…
Shadow and I had a long drawn out day at Camping World… I did find a basket for the front of my trike as mine had come up missing… it was half the price I would have paid in Normal… The toilet was an expensive fix… but it is done… It was dark when I got back to the rv park… Molly and Cleo helped me get set up but do not have the water hooked up yet… so jugs for another day…
It will be 80 again today… I had forgotten how very damp it is in the mornings here in Fl… but it soon dries off when the sun comes up…
Got the Shadow hair cleaned off the rugs and they are put back inside…
not much happening here today they have coffee and coffee cake at the club house but I am not going…
Have a great day everyone…

Good Morning everyone,

Sue reporting here from the frozen north. Literally. It's cold out there with a wind chill of -24. The wind is blowing fairly strong and farther to the northwest of here, they are under Lake Effect snow advisory. Could see up to a foot of snow. Here the sky is clear.

linann, I was indeed on the road yesterday, hence my not getting on here. Had a good drive north. Was snowing at my place, lightly, and of course, being a favored lake effect snowbelt area when the wind is west, I just had to get out of there and was find from there on. Clear dry road and even sunshine after I got into the U.P. Barbie, don't feel bad about the having to scrap and clean off windows. I am going to do the same thing before I head out this morning too. One suggestion I might make for you is to go to the store and get a bottle or can of Prestone Deicer Spray. It works great and will save you some time in cleaning off your windows. Sorry to hear about you other misfortunes. No fun there at all.

This place is full up right now with workers and myself here. And Mitch, I found your cowboy. You are heading in the wrong direction. Was at the owners last night when one of the guys from TX came in. Around 6ft, bit chunky, well trimmed beard and a black cowboy hat. Really nice guy. I guess these guys have had it kind of tough since they got here as they had to go out and buy clothes to keep themselves warm while working in this cold. Company doesn't provide that stuff, plus they are also paying the monthly And being from TX, they are not used to this cold, especially having to wear steel toed boots on their job as well.

I have fantastic WiFi connection here too thanks to the guys installing a booster down in one of their units. Full 5 bars. Don't even need the new antenna I bought, but think I will keep it anyway.

Boy, sounds like you gals who are traveling are really into that bad weather. Sorry to hear you got double whammied so to speak Liz and that Birdie may decide to head home. Hang tight everyone, this too shall pass. BJ, you have more snow that I do even at home.

Okay, enough chatter for this morning. Be talking to you all later again. Have a great day and keep warm and safe.

Good Morning !! Every time I read about the freezing weather you Baja ladies are dealing with to reach the warmth for the winter, I relive my miserable flight to warmth !! I feel so bad for all of you, weather has to turn decent soon, hang in there !!, This diesal engine with no heater was my biggest concern and worry, It was a long trip. Diesal tried to jell on me twice,, love my vehicle but will have to remedy this soon. I like to enjoy my trips regardless the weather . Stay safe, wise decision Mitch, plenty of time before you all meet up. Keep miss Abby warm !!!

Nothing much going on with me, I am wearing shorts and it's almost to warm for me, ( Sometimes the meanness just pops out ! ). This is where I should say I'm sorry ? Hmmm

Thinking Monday I will head to a CG, haven't decided which one yet, time to dump, refill etc and get my slide out and do some real cleaning. So many to visit down in this area. Need to contact friends who have moved down from N C, supposed to when I arrive, well.......
Hope you all have a great day, stay warm, stay safe, but enjoy your day wherever and whatever it brings your way,

CArol :)
Good to hear from you Sue that trip was a good one, Kathleen, glad repairs are done and now you can enjoy yourself !

Good morning all.

Smart choice, Mitch and Tina. I have frost on the inside of my windows this morning....21 degrees outside. Icicles hanging off the RV and the bin doors frozen shut. High of 33 expected today for a minute or so. Tomorrow will be warmer with high near 60. Things should thaw out during the day at least.

Not much planned for today except keeping warm. Will need to get my propane filled before leaving town, I'm sure. There's a Flying J here that has it. Will try to finish my last blog post from Big Bend. I'm sure thankful we had warm weather there. Hard to believe I ran my AC for a little while one afternoon to cool it off inside....just a few days ago.

Hope everyone stays safe and if you are warm enough, get out and have some fun.

My goodness what nasty weather for many of you!! Suppose I shouldn't complain the humidity is back. :)

I saw the Osborne Family Christmas lights last night (had seen them before) and what a beautiful display that is. Spent some time with Red yesterday as well. She has family stopping by today.

Stay warm and safe!

Chilly here in not so sunny SoCal, too. 34* on the back patio. Brrrrr! It's cold everywhere except where Carol is....wherever that is! I could do shorts and 80* easily! Not much going on here to speak of. Just been busy with this and that. Hope everyone has a great day and stay warm! Mitch, good idea to stay put for a while! This weather is unbelievable! Talked to son in Arkansas and he's lost electricity for a few days, the poles snapped. He had to take a saw and cut up trees to get down his road, they froze and snapped. And they wanted me to spend the winter there??? Seriously??? It's cold here, but not that darned cold! Jeep club Christmas party is tonite but we're supposed to have rain today so doubt if I'll go. It's in Chino and I just don't feel like driving over there.

Good morning friends. Cold here too, but not that bone chilling stuff others are having. And no precipatation. But tomorrow is supposed to be a lot of rain, which I dread. Mitch and Tina and Liz, could you bring me back one of those cowboys? The ladies in the FB chat know that I am now longer part of a couple. I'll give more details later. I told them also that I,m not one of these that must have a man. But during the past 8 months I've learned sharing is much better than alone. I know this a a group of strong independent women, but that is what I have learned from this experience. Don't know what I will do about the Fl trip yet. Well, enough of that! May do a little Christmas shopping, but gkds may just want gift cards or money. It is so hard finding what people want. Ya'll have a great safe and fun day. Wendy

It must be cold everywhere except Florida. I thought my indoor/out door thermometer was broken. It showed the low last night was 35 and it stayed 35 until a few minutes ago. It's gray and overcast but at least it's not raining. The high is suppose to be 43. It seems like every year Oklahoma and Arkansas have ice storms and lose power. Almost getting stuck in Tulsa one year makes me think hard about going where there might be sleet. The Ramblin Roses Christmas Rally is in Waco this weekend. I would like to be there but not going to North Texas.

My DH had cabin fever so decided to go to town. If it wasn't so crazy with the Christmas Shoppers I would go too. I bought a purse the other day. I could move into it, that would take a couple of hours. I hate to change purses. I like the one I have so much that I was thinking about how I could repair the strap. We have a friend that makes saddles. I might talk to him.

Everyone on the road stay safe.
