Where do you guys get all your talent?
Thanks, Mitch, and everyone...
You know, Mitch, that is an interesting question....I think it comes from being a child of a child of the depression....all of us were taught to be able to survive....we all know how to raise our own beef, chickens, etc. and how to prepare them for consumption...also how to plant, cultivate, harvest, and store fruit and veggies....My Mom insisted that we girls learn how to sew, darn, knit, and crochet...the guys had to learn to repair farm equipment, etc...and of course, we all know how to milk a cow..
..JUST IN CASE....in case of famine, the stock market crashes, the electric grid is cut, or some one drops "The Big One".....
Some of us were better at things than others...I don't can stuff, raise beef, or grow a garden anymore..but can if I have to..
..
Hence, I enjoy needle work of almost all kinds, but since I now live in a 5er, room for crafts is limited, so I concentrate on crocheting and counted cross stitch....
Your question really got me thinking, Mitch, so the above is my thought on talents such as these....things that we learn as children inspire talents which we carry through out life....I'm so happy you enjoy mine...
