What a Great Day!

Postby rmsealarke » Tue Nov 26, 2013 6:23 pm

Hi all!
Today was a long but great day for Lily and I. Got my Senior Pass (Lily was upset they didn't have one for her until I explained I wouldn't go without her). Went to the RV Store (quite a ways away) and picked up a trailer lock, receiver lock, t level and two leveling jacks (that's all they had in stock and I don't know that I will need any more with my peanut of a trailer). And picked up Lily's special dog food and a new additive for her skin. It has 'Grizzly Salmon oil' in it for her skin. We'll see if that works because she is an itchy little booger but she loved the taste of it and she's sleeping like a baby now. Happy that the 'gifties' that I bought for my trailer weren't too expensive and getting more excited every day. OH! Also went to a Thrift Store and picked up a few serving pieces of Melmac/melamine for a song. The lady said they usually throw it out because it isn't microwavable )OMG! so I gave her my number and she will call me before she throws any more away. So I hope you all have a safe and happy Thanksgiving either with (or without, like me) your families or on the road...where ever you are!

Congrats on the pass! Now you can map out all the discounts. I find this site super useful for that:

I planned a 2 month trip recently and my route was a funny loop because I wanted all the discounted Fed campgrounds so I could stay longer between driving days. Man it feels great to pay half price!

Thanks Ladies! Spoke to my 'camper guy' tonight and he said he may be finished with her 'make-over' (outside paint job) in a few days. Probably driving down to get her next week. What a great Christmas present to myself! Might even get her a wreath and a red bow for her drive home. Feeling great!

Congrats on the pass, Ruthie, and on the paint job for your trailer! I can't wait to get my senior pass----tried this year in Ocala, but the ranger station was closed on the weekends, if you can believe that! Next time I get near there I hope to have some success!
