Come on in and say hello.

Hello everyone,

I'm new to the forum and look forward to learning all about my fellow women rv'ers!

I've camped most of my life, first with my parents in a pick up camper. Later borrowing their motorhome with my husband and finally in our own trailer with my husband and daughters. I've been away from it since we sold our trailer in 07 and have really missed it.

I've been wanting to get an rv again for a few years. My husband passed away three years ago, one daughter just got married and the younger one is almost done with college. I just bought a 2013 Itasca Navion 24G that I can't wait to use this winter to get to some warmer weather! You guys give me courage that I can do this on my own, (my husband used to handle most of the hook-ups). I'm not worried about driving it as I bought it in NC last week and drove it straight home to MI with no trouble. I hope to head south in mid January as soon as the holidays are over and I can get it loaded up. Looking forward to lots of fun and relaxation with my yorkiepoo Rosie with me.

Welcome, Annette!

Where do you plan to head when you, your rig and your furry companion head south? There are gtg's happening for sure in FL and AZ ... and lots of people in the southern states if you want to meet.

Glad to have you with us.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes!

I noticed there is a GTG in FL the end of January so I just made a reservation for that at the Hillsborough River State Park. This will probably be my first actually camping as I need to have some things worked on when I get back down south and will stay at my parents house when that is happening.

Look forward to learning lots from all of you as I begin this adventure!

Hi Annette,
You did great driving for the first time from NC to MI. I think you'll do great at traveling on your own. Welcome to the site.
