You asked for it...Bed size Afghan

Lots of you asked to see the finished project of the Bed size Afghan....so took some photos for you....

More detail...for those of you that crochet, it's a 6 count ripple stitch Afghan...

Image

Started this the week before my surgery in August so that I'd have something to do while resting and healing, but 2 baby afghans and the weather being really hot, stopped progress on this until the last couple of weeks....It will keep us "toasty warm" this winter ;) and we don't notice Spinner's shedding hairs as much... ;)

Enjoy!!!!!

That is beautiful. I do crochet but have only done ripple once long ago. My Aunt, also a crocheter, taught me but I have long forgotten that stitch. Guess I should look it up. How many skeins of yarn did that project take? Thanks for showing us your beautiful completed project. I have a shawl in progress which I started while hubby was in radiation daily for six weeks and I need to finish then start a new project to keep me warm during cool weather.

Lori, that is absolutely gorgeous! Maybe someday when we get together again, you can teach me how to do something like that!

I'm sure Spinner appreciates all the hard work it took to make him a special snuggle blanket.

Beautiful....my hands had sympathy for yours after all that fine motor work! :) I am not brave enough with my pack to let them close to any fine bedding! :)
