We are finally in Mexico

Postby asirimarco » Thu Nov 21, 2013 8:17 pm

50 some days since we left home and we're finally in Mexico - only a little over 150 in but in none the less.
No problems at the border either side. Paper work was done quickly and efficiently.
Main road has a lot of new pavement and construction but easy drive except for the wind. Our Mexican Internet is up and running.
Wrote about the day on the blog. http://lifeinbrowncounty.blogspot.com
Now to relax and read for a while - tomorrow we head to San Carlos on the Sea of Cortez.

OK, I have to ask about your remark about being parked "IN a tree". :? Need a photo of that! :?

Glad the border crossing went smoothly and Willie is safe and sound!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

The campground owners planted trees at the back of every RV site. Because we are so long we have to really back into the whole length of the site. Thus we are backed right into the tree. That's why I'm up at 3:-00 the tree branches are rubbing on the side and roof of poor Alfie - scratch - scratch - quiet scratch scratch scratch whump quiet well you get the idea. Luckily it is a wispy kind of tree with flexible branches not hard ones.

Very interesting about the crossing the border details. Looking forward to following your blog again this year, and maybe actually experiencing similar things.

Good to see that you've made it safely into MX again.

Know you don't hang around any in the border towns but was wondering if you've heard of a place to eat in Nogales inside a big cave? It was recommended to me once but I could not cross the border at that time.
