Good Morning Donna and all who follow,

Donna, I know what you mean about rain. We have had so much up here since October, that the lakes are rising and when the storms came through on Sunday, got dumped with 2 inches of it.

Been reading the past few days posts and wow, lots going on. Anita seems to have some great neighbors where's she's staying Lori thought she had a "Rocky" and turns out to be a "Rover" , Carolb had quite a visit to the space center and then got to watch a spectacular lauch, Linda with dead battery :o , things are happening in our world out there.

Not much doing around here, same old. Did find out late on Monday that what had been though was straight line winds about 3 miles down the road from me here, taking out a bunch of trees, turned out to be a small EFzero tornado  Hit the ground for less than a minute and was here and gone so fast the NWS didn't even get a warning out. Later after they looked at the damage, path about 150 yards wide and 3/10ths mile long, checked their radar images from day before, determined it was indeed a very week tornado. Those things are rare In these parts and it's only the 2nd one I know of near here in 56 years. Thankfully despite the fact it was only a little one with winds about 65-75 mph, it was in an area where nobody's around (woods) and nobody got hurt on I-75 when it knocked a bunch of trees down on the highway, closing both north and southbound lanes. Had it been less than a mile farther north, it would have hit into Waters and probably caused a bit of building damage not to mention the RV's in winter storage and at the dealers down there as well. Now we are going back to winter.

Nothing much on agenda today. Just to town and then home. Baked a bunch of Spritz Butter cookies for Christmas trip up north in two weeks and put them in freezer. Would like to bake some others, but freezer is full and no place to put them. Thinking of putting them in plastic bins in cooler in unheated garage till I leave so they will keep. I hope.

Well, enough chatter for this morning. You all have a great day out there :)

Good Morning

Looking forward to visit by Tina and probably Wendy tomorrow. First half of weekend looks good but it is going to turn very cold by Sunday.

A bit of good news for niece. Doctor removed all the drainage tubes yesterday. At least she can rest much more comfortably now.

Got the van washed yesterday and picked up expensive new tag for Magic. Nicky's turn for a bath today. I have a few more errands and will come back and put a pot of soup on for dinner.

Have a great day

Good morning, All...

Really got a good night's sleep....even resisted staying up at 2am and went back to bed....Feel rested today.... ;)

The plan for the day is to get the Grand-kids gifts wrapped and ready to mail... ;) Then Christmas cards done for son and his lady friend, my brother & his lady friend, and our 5 sisters and their spouses....I've down sized the "giving" this year as I have my medical "co-pays" to take care of....Talked with everyone on why and they all agreed.... :), which I am taking as my gift from them.....I'm so blessed to have family who understand.... ;)

Then after all that wrapping and card writing, I'm going to try to finish that "bed size" afghan I've had going for at least a year to put on our bed...so I'll be busy today...

Well, I'd better stop and get my butt in gear...so have the coffee going...help yourselves...

Have a great day, all....

Good morning all, I woke up earlier than usual and the dogs weren't to blame, this time. I finally got Elsie out of the repair shop last night! A small piece of metal had broke off in the shifter, can't believe it took almost two weeks for her to get around to fixing it. I guess I need to start saying I need it back by a certain time. This morning I take it to the RV place to have it winterized. Was hoping to find someone to help me just blow out the lines but that didn't happen.
I'm not ready for the cold weather they are predicting for the weekend. Hope everyone has a great day and those on the road, safe journeys.

Sarah, how many tubes did she have?
How did she ultimately end up "securing" them?

Good morning everyone, I've missed a couple days and I need to go back and catch up. Sara, glad things are a little better for your niece. I've been working hard getting, house, clothes, food all ready for our trip!! I cooked up a bunch of DH's food (he's very picky) and some stuff I like to fill the RV refrigerator and freezer. I like to leave the house neat so I don't return to a mess :P Have to pack clothes to cover below freezing in No Alabama to beach weather in Orlando :P Then get RV ready to hit the road. I'm really excited to see our forum friends in LA. Also getting child like excited for our time at Disney. Both DH and I grew up and lived near Disneyland in CA. We both had summer jobs at Disneyland and worked as Disney characters. DH was Goofy :P and I was a mermaid at the submarine ride. (Not Ariel. Before Ariel. Just had the costume and sat on the reef and waved at the guests walking by and those in the submarine!) So, I am excited to do a trip to Disney without kids. A trip just to do what I want to do...over and over if I like :P Everyone have a great day. Aloha

Six tubes, Mitch. She used the top you sent for some bulbs and ace bandages to hold everything in place. She was really glad to get all that stuff out of the way. Thank you again for "playing it forward". I have another friend with breast cancer and will pass the top on to her if okay with you.

Good Morning,

Donna, they keep having rain in the forecast here in Wauchula, but we have had very little. Sue, I had never heard of straight line winds until 3 years ago. While I was in Kansas, they broke off several power poles along the highway where I was staying. Sarah, glad to hear your niece is more comfortable and you get to enjoy company.

I stopped at the post office and then shopped at Walmart for groceries yesterday. With the humidity, I was done in by the time I was finished.

Only 10 more days until Disney World!! Plus I'll see Red!!

Have a good day all.

Rainy and cold here in not so sunny SoCal. Yuck! Son was supposed to wash Hope today, but the rain is supposed to clear out around noon so I told him if the weather is bad just do the front and front windshield and call it good. I'll get on top and clean the solar panels when I get to where I'm going and the weather is nicer. Got the grocery shopping done yesterday, Chewmonster got a bath, colored my hair, took a short ride on new toy and loaded some more stuff. Busy day! Trailer goes in the driveway today while I go down and dump and get propane. Thank goodness I don't have to be the neighborhood entertainment doing that. I have people this year!! :D Don't know if I'll load the RZR today or tomorrow, depends on weather and how I feel. I had a movie date with a friend for tonite, but now I have a stuffed up nose so going to have to cancel. He's still working and don't want to take a chance on him getting this. I was really looking forward to it, too! Oh well, such is life.

Took the new toy out a couple of days ago, son went with me. I really struggled with it, so we came back and he adjusted clutch cable and clutch lever...much better! I've been riding every day..except today, not riding today! Temp is only supposed to be 61 today.

Hope everyone has blue skies and warm weather.....and those on the road, travel safe with wheels down!!

Good Morning from a busy busy day lady… they went to leave tomorrow afternoon… and I lost yesterday because of sadness… but get back up and ride that horse… at least that is what they say…

Oh Lori yesterday I think it was I was sure it was a kitty with a white stripe looking for Spinner!!

I love morning coffee… the place to eat breakfast and enjoy far away friends that we have never seen but still love and care about… (I think that is a compound sentence)

drive safe and Sarah enjoy the visit with Tina and Wendy… boo whoooo I want to see them too… give them a hug for me…

Arrived in Anzo Borrego SP yesterday in Southern California in 74 degree weather with sun! Glad I got a few pictures because it is cloudy today and is supposed to rain later. (I don't mind as I am sure the desert needs the water.) Headed out on my bike in a few minutes to hear an archeology lecture at the ranger station. Very beautiful here.

And tonight I am going to cook those biscuit chicken pot pies, as I finally have all the stuff. Here for several days so lots of time to rest and do some cleaning--under sink was leaking and needs to be completely emptied and scrubbed. Going to enjoy it here!

Well, thought I'd join in today.... usually don't as life here in the s&b is pretty much the same each day, so kinda boring... I am not brave enough to venture out in my RV as our freeways (& streets) are full of crazies that drive insanely... trying to get out of the city here is a white knuckle experience even during the week let alone on weekends... besides our accidents are always major & deadly because of the speedsters, texters & stupid people with the idea they own the road.... okay, off my soap box.
Anyway, went to Bunco last night (got lost as I'd never been to Lynn's house before & MapQuest really messed up)... should have known it wouldn't be a 'winning' event, though I did win for having the most craps (loser points), so turned out to be a 'free' evening out.
That's not why I'm posting... I always read each day all the posts & it struck me today how so many are struggling through health problems whether for themselves or for family members or friends... It makes me feel so helpless that I cannot, with the wave of a magic wand, heal all the suffering... not that I think I'm any different than any of you, but that feeling inside just comes up & says, hey... fix it! Maybe since my daughter passed away, I'm more aware of the traumas that others go through... I don't know, but I see how brave so many of you are & how you cope & keep going... not complaining, just doing your best to get through it... makes me feel ashamed that I'm still feeling so sorrowful about my Daughter... so just wanted to say, thank you to all that are sharing their lives & giving an example of courage & hope to people like me.... maybe one day soon I can pass on that gift to someone that may be in need just to show I've learned something valuable from this group & I'm sharing it.... God bless....
