Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

That is hilarious!!!!
I sent it to my oldest daughter who is cooking a full Thanksgiving dinner for the first time in her life. In a family as large as ours, at 43 years old, thus far she's only brought rolls - she never even advanced to stirring the gravy (that was my job)! She will love this!

I remember the first turkey I made .... forgot to take out the innards.... burnt the bird as well.... didn't attempt to bake a turkey for many years after that.....

I am notorious for cooking turkeys upside down. (Not intentionally... who can tell which side is up, without a head or feet? :? ) Once my brother (the official carver) figured it out, after wondering what happened to the meat, he turned it over and found lots of it on the bottom! Now I have heard that many people purposely cook them that way because they are more moist as they sit in the juices while cooking (mine were!).

had a boss tell me one time that is how he did it so I tried the upside down method when I bake a turkey now that is how I do it...
