Another Monday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Another Monday

Postby linann » Mon Nov 18, 2013 7:23 am

Heading out to another work week. Weather in Central Florida is lovely and warm. Nothing like the weather some of you experienced this weekend. We had very little rain this weekend, mostly sprinkles, and no wind. The moon was so full and bright earlier this morning that I thought left the house lights turned on outside. Best wishes to everyone for a calm and restful week. Stay safe everyone!

Morning everyone,

I guess WOW! is about all any of us can say about yesterdays weather. Very strange indeed. Am so glad that everyone's okay and nothing happened other than a few downed limbs, branches and so forth. After seeing the picture that Mitch posted from here place, she was very luck indeed. Course when I went to bed last night, the front was still heading east, so don't know what happened after that. Hope it hasn't affected anybody out that way. It was very interesting when it came through here as well. Twilight dark for about 2 hours and at one point very heavy rain. Found out that an apparent wind downburst or straight line wind dumped a bunch of trees all over I-75 about 5-6 miles from here. Thankful it wasn't here, or I would be cleaning up a mess out there again. Now have high winds and expecting lake effect snow to set in shortly. Have apt. for eye exam in Petoskey which is about a 50 mile drive from here. Seriously thinking of cancelling it for today.

Need to do come catch up on here as I'm seriously behind. Know some of you are having a few issues, but can also feel the excitement building about heading to Baja for those who are going.

So with that, want to wish you all a wonderful safe day.

Good morning. Really screwy weather. Glad everyone is OK. I really enjoyed the gtg in Bandera. I just really love gtg with other RV gals. I got back from Bandera yesterday morning. It is normally a 5 hr drive and I left at 11:30 am on Sat with plenty of time to make it home before dark. However, between closed ramps that took a 45 min bumper to bumper detour, high winds, lots of rest stops and my poor choice of route, I had to stop driving when it got dark. Pitch dark with no street lights. I couldn't see the edge of the road. The first park I called was full. So I was trying to make it to the Walmart in Brenham. Then out of the Blue there was an RV park sign right on the Highway and I pulled in and they had a spot. (Do you believe in angels?). Slept like a baby. Then easy 1 1/2 hr home in the early AM.

I am woman  :? Then hit the cooking/entertaining mode. Had TDay celebration with DH's son and fam last night. Phew!! Tired. This AM I am headed to PT, then clean and restock RED to get ready to leave Fri AM for our trip to AL and DisneyWorld. Can't wait to hit the road again. I have to admit I really enjoyed the solo adventures :P :P Everyone have a great day and stay safe. Aloha.

Good morning, all..

It's one of those days when I know I should clean something, but have no "get up and go" for it....I'm one of those folks that are sensitive to the weather/day light...and here we are on day 3 of clouds and humidity....makes me lazy and sleepy....hopefully the weather man is correct and it will clear up outside soon.... ;)

I so want to finish a bed size afghan I've been working on...gosh, it's getting heavy... :o , but it will be nice and warm for those cool nights....

Okay, better get in gear and get something done...

Still got coffee here, help yourselves.... ;)

Have a great day, all...

What weather that was! Some folks still without power around here, but not me, luckily. I'm thrilled to report that my entirely make-it-up-as-you-go-along weatherstripping job held up to both the wind and the rain, so the van is dry. :D Off to buy some Liquid Nails now; I ran out while working on the subflooring yesterday.

Just killing time here this morning. On call for work this morning but it is really quiet there today so I won't go in until 1:00. Good thing yesterday was busy and I made good tips! My rent goes up in December ($50) and if they ever get the garage fixed, I will have to pay ($50) for a stall there too.

Sunny but cold (29) here today. Will warm up for a couple days this week and then back to cold (below freezing) again by the weekend. Better that, than tornadoes tho! There was such a large outbreak of tornadoes really early last spring and then nothing much all summer, and now this outbreak so late in the fall. Very strange!

Have the sniffles this morning so I will get out my Zicam and get on that right away.

Hope you all have a safe, fun day! :D

Way past morning. I was trying to catch up on the washing this morning and went to town after lunch and didn't get back until after 7:00. I got back from Bandera last night. We had a great time. My sister got one of her boys to meet us by the interstate to pick her up so I could come on home. I drove 473 miles. Way too many miles and I am still pooped. I'm glad I came on because it was raining and windy this morning. A front must have come through but it's not very cold yet.

I wasn't keeping up with the weather so didn't know about the bad storms until after I got home. So sad and so much distraction.
