Good news, sort of. Michelin seems to be accepting liabilty for my tire issue but they need to "audit" my two estimates. I hear "reduce". Bad news is this will take a week or so, then once we agree, they send me a release and a check. Then it will take about 2-3 weeks for the repairs.

Was telling my cousin what happened and his Dad was seriously hurt after a similar situation with his tractor trailer on the Pulaski Skyway. Even the body shop guys said I got away cheap ($2500) and very lucky not to be hurt.

Stay safe all.

Glad to hear they are coming around and you'll not be out-of-pocket for all this. Just wish it wasn't such a pita to get to this point, and still have to wait, and wait!

Got through another day of this miserable pain. Got to get in and get an x-ray on Thursday morning and then have an appointment to get my stent out on Friday morning. Yea!! That assumes that I have passed all the broken up stones and no chunks are left in my kidney. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

If I get the stent out on Friday, I will have my grandkids spent Saturday night with me, and then will head out to Death Valley on Monday morning. Really anxious to be on my way again. Can't hold back that travel bug!

In the meantime, I keep taking Vicodin and try to stay still so my bladder will not go into a spasm and cause this pain. Lots of being online and TV, plus reading in bed.

We keep losing the campfire.

I've had a long, very rough week with almost non-stop pain. I was SO glad to get the stent removed today. They wanted originally to leave it in another week, but I don't know how I could have managed. That kind of constant, irritating pain really brings you down. I've had two knee replacements, pancreatitis, gall bladder attacks and two previous lithotripsies but this one really bothered me. Somehow all doctors should be made to undergo the procedures they put other people through.

It took me about two hours after the stent was removed to start to feel like a human being again. Bleeding and 90% of pain stopped almost immediately. So, I feel like a new person and am looking forward to heading out and continuing my travels, trying to forget the past week. :)

Judy, I'm so glad to hear removing the stent made the difference you were expecting. Living with pain is shear misery. Wonderful news that you're feeling so much better!

Judy I am so glad they took it out, I'm surprised you didn't insist before! I think they must have put it in wrong for you to have experience such a different reaction than before.

oh Judy, what a relief to have that thing out. Now you can get on down the road and enjoy more places to see and things to do.
