Ouch. I only like seeing Elsie when you're giving good reports. Hope it's not an expensive or difficult fix.

Any word on her condition yet? Poor aby, at least she had a warm place to spend the night.

Just heard about poor Elsie, I think the lady that owns the garage works 24/7. Doesn't sound as bad as I expected, the switch that releases the shift lock on the brakes went out so even though I put the brake on to shift, the signal to release didn't work. While it is there she is going to do something to transmission fluid and put on a new filter as sometimes it takes a few blocks to shift in to the first gear. A bit scary if you have traffic behind you :) I got to thinking maybe that was a sign I better have her look at it before one day it didn't kick in :(

I was going to have it winterized but the more I read about blowing out the lines I think I'm going to see if I can find someone with an air compressor to help me do that.

guess thats good news or at least a whole lot cheaper than a rebuilt transmission
