I've had a long, very rough week with almost non-stop pain. I was SO glad to get the stent removed today. They wanted originally to leave it in another week, but I don't know how I could have managed. That kind of constant, irritating pain really brings you down. I've had two knee replacements, pancreatitis, gall bladder attacks and two previous lithotripsies but this one really bothered me. Somehow all doctors should be made to undergo the procedures they put other people through.
It took me about two hours after the stent was removed to start to feel like a human being again. Bleeding and 90% of pain stopped almost immediately. So, I feel like a new person and am looking forward to heading out and continuing my travels, trying to forget the past week.
