Thank You Veterans

A big thank you this morning to all our veterans. You are our heroes.

And with that - I hope everyone has a great day ... I'm going to bed!

Ditto! Thank you Veterans past, present and future for serving our country. Especially my family that are currently in uniform :P

Got back from my driving school yesterday and backed into that nightmare of a driveway first try :P I have a bit more confidence now, and feel a bit more at ease at the wheel. Now, it'll take miles and hours to get better. Practice makes perfect.

In my observation, there appears to be a lot of boomers hitting the road full time. The boot camp was so full this year they scheduled another one for next weekend. Same at their other locations around the country. They've become so popular they have to reserve larger commercial RV parks. The majority of this weekend's group were boomers. Most had already bought their rig and had either already sold their S&B or in the process with plans to hit the road full time. It almost appears that as the boomers hit the magical age in which they can receive SS, they are taking to the roads "en masse". Watch out world  Also, I met 2 women that had not purchased a rig yet, but learning and researching with intentions of solo full timing in the near future. I gave them the info about WRV and hope they check in!

I'm of to clean RED and continue to learn more about her. Have a great day and stay safe! Aloha

Good morning, all...and also saying my Thanks to my sisters and brothers who have served or are serving....and interesting thought that my niece-in-law, who is an a vet of Iraq theater posted this morning, and I agree...."My oath of service has no expiration date."....which means that even at 60 yrs. old, if called, I'd go....

Okay, well the day has me thinking I have to do a little cleaning and picking up around here....so better get at it....

Coffee is ready....cereal for the taking...

Have a great day, all...

Absolutely, a resounding YES!! to Beths thank you to our Veterans! Our country wouldn't be the most awesome place on earth to live without them!
Couldn't sleep and was awake at 3:30 this morning...Mitch caught up with me around 4:30 on FB, so had a bit of a nice conversation with her. I think she may be a little cranky in the mornings. :D Actually, when I visited her I didn't see her until 9 or so, said she slept in.

Good job on the driving, Chris! I took the driving class after DH passed, went out and practiced every w/e and when I felt ready to drive that far thru traffic to the cemetary, drove over there and yelled at him..."Look at that! I'm driving YOUR motorhome!" Then I looked around and all the people were looking at the crazy lady yelling at the gravesite. sigh.

Off to San Marcos this morning to pick up the engine guards I ordered for the new toy. Then out riding today, hopefully. Nice weather all week so hopefully I'll get to ride every day!

Hope everyone has a great day!

My nephew says, "Once a marine, always a marine." He, too, would be willing to return to active duty if needed. On this day of honoring all those who fought and died, I pray that will never be necessary, and that a day will come when we create no more veterans.

Red, wonderful backing up! You've got it licked! Hurrah!

A grand Monday to all. :D

A big thank you to all our service persons - past and present! Being able to trace ancestors back to the Revolutionary War, it is sad to think of all the hardships and conflicts our military and their families have faced.

Red, way to go backing RED into the parking space!

Sharon, I am chuckling about your cemetery visit. Be safe on that new toy!

I accomplished a lot on my way to Wauchula yesterday - laundry, groceries, fuel, hair cut. For the next several days, I will plan one day and a time until I get some things caught up!

Yes!! Thanks to all vets past and present. Went out to dinner last evening with my friend, Bill (Korean war vet) and thanked him for his service. Some times we forget to do that. Because of them, we are free!!

Late post. Went out this morning shopping with my daughter-in-law but got tired and came home. Now trying to stay sitting and rest so irritating bladder pain will go away. Going to call doctor tomorrow and complain and see how soon he can remove this horrible stent.

My Daddy was a Marine.
My father in law was a Army soldier.
Both fought in WWII.
My husband retired a Chief in the Navy.
I was a Navy Nures, a Commander.
All of us would or would have gone back if called.
Service was a privilege and an honor.
I am awed by the young people of today who serve in far more trying circumstances than I did.
