Rarin' to go Sat

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Rarin' to go Sat

Postby carolb » Sat Nov 09, 2013 5:13 am

Good morning all! :D

Well, bro was here yesterday, but only had one beer, then left. Barb, you're right, I should clarify that I wouldn't be throwing him off a pier  Yep, HarBor is my rig...

However, we did decide that I will leave tonight & drive the whole 12 (yes, twelve  ) miles to his place to spend the night. Yippee! I'll wake tomorrow a.m. all snug with my 3 poopers in our cozy RT bed! So today, I'll have leisurely time to get last minute things into the HB, rather than rushing it in the morning....& Kathleen, how excited you must be to be leaving in 2 weeks :D --especially after missing your travels last winter! See you in FL!

Karen, back to "work"? If I recall, you're a "traveling" nurse?? :? Enjoy the Santa Barbara area--do you think you'll be able to find an assignment there in SoCal?? Red, can't wait to hear about your driving school this weekend!

Okay, y'all have a great day & be safe always! Will try to keep up with our MC, but y'all know how it is on the road. It's nice to know you'll all be here when I pop back in again! 8-)

Been up and moving since 3:30am, but just now chiming in here....Adjusting the heat cause it's a little chilly this morning in SE GA,,,,46F when I got up... It' will get better as the sun arrives.... ;)

Carolb is hitting the road today and others really soon...We're still hanging out off of I-95 until Dec. 1st, then heading to west FL for awhile...so if anyone needs a rest stop along the FL/GA state line, PM me and I'll see what I can do... ;)

Okay, coffee's on and muffins hot from the oven...help yourselves...

Have a great day, all...

Good morning everyone! I made it all the way to Livingston (65 miles  ) and all set up. My driving instructor came to the coach last night and introduced himself and started with safety procedures and learning what all the gauges, buttons and bells are in and around the drivers chair. :P This AM after the pancake breakfast over at the care center we will start. I will show him how I go about securing everything before closing slides and levelers and then I'll learn the pre trip check that is required on the test for the class B license. Then we'll hit the road. I've already learned so much :P

Met a gal at the campfire last night that wants to buy a rig and solo full time. I gave her the forum info and hope she checks in. Everyone have a great day and stay safe. Aloha

Good Morning,

I got a few things done yesterday and had a walk. The biggie is that I made the final decision about new medicare supplement. The fun is that I started looking at the Disney World entertainment calendar for while I am there. Looking forward to catching up with Chris a bit, too, during that time.

I'm thinking of renting a car after DWorld so I can easily go to SeaWorld and Universal while they are done up for Christmas. That ought to take care of my amusement park bug for awhile!

Chris, I think you have done well with driving RED, but seems there is always something new to learn. I'll see you in about 3 weeks!!

Carolb, by this time tomorrow you will be on your way!! Safe travels!

Have a good day all!

good morning ladies
routine stuff today, grocery store and laundry. After that, I'll pack up the car with the stuff that needs to be returned to rv and make
that trip which I didn't do last weekend. With the cooler weather setting in, its time to get my crochet back out so I'll grab that while
I'm out there. It really helps while away the hours at work in between my morning and afternoon runs since I don't come home.
Three day weekend,,,, lots of relaxing cause I'm on such a tight budget this payday, that buffalo on the back of my nickle is crying
abuse. This was the paycheck that reflected being off for fall break which we did not get paid for. Oh well, it will all get better
very soon. :P
Time for more coffee and grabbing a banana to get me through the morning. Ya'll have a great day and be safe.

Carolb, Karen took a job in the Santa Barbara area which is why she'll be going there :) And, yes, she is a traveling nurse.

I'm doing 11 hour nights now. They are mandatory for the employees but those of us on their Camperforce are only required to go mandatory to 50 hours (which are the 5 10 hour nights). I have done 2 11's now, one more tomorrow. If they take next weeks OT to 11, I have decided I'm not doing them. So I say now, anyway lol

Heading to bed - my Friday is now over. All of you will be on the downside of your Sat when I get up and think it's morning.

You go, Carol! You've been very patient about the wait, I think.

Red, I'm imagining you wheeling big rigs around today, and it makes me grin to think of it.

Sea World is spectacular all done up for Christmas, Anita! My season's pass for there is up for renewal-----my house is about 5 minutes from there----and I plan to gift myself another one for this year. Would be fun to meet there and see the sights together! And you could see my FL house, too! I have a great guest bedroom there! (And, if you like lobster, we could have a buffet dinner at Boston Lobster Feast!)

Good Morning. I haven’t posted for couple of weeks so I want to send belated birthday wishes to those I missed. My sympathy to Sarah on the loss of her friend’s husband and prayers for her niece. My sympathy to Catherine also. Congratulations to Sheila on the birth of her new granddaughter. Safe travels to those on the move! Welcome to the newcomers! And anything else that I may have missed. There is way too much new information on this board to digest at one sitting if a person misses a few days in a row! But I will say that I find it rather suspicious that Louise was MIA for quite awhile after the R&R (Ruckus and Recipe)

I’m coffee logged already, Missy was here early this morning…mornings are her hardest time since she and Randy were always up early before his garbage routes. She knows that DH and I are early risers so she comes over in the morning before I leave for work. This morning the two of us went out for breakfast. She talks….I listen. Not much else I can do except be there for moral support. She has so many decisions to make and I keep telling her not to rush into anything and to try to wait at least a year before making any major decisions. Hopefully her son and step-son can continue to work together on the sanitation business without butting heads. They have an excellent opportunity if they would just realize it. Randy made a very good living working sanitation but for some reason his son feels that is beneath him.

The results are in and I’m going to have a grandson around March 12. I was hoping for a little girl but just as long as it’s healthy is all that is important. I’m going to have to stay off the computer and start watching all the Hallmark channel holiday movies and get that baby blanket that I’ve been working on for six years finished! Ashley’s birthday was this week and I was stumped as what to give her, but then decided on a gift certificate for a full pedicure at the local salon. I had ulterior motives….figure she probably won’t use it until it’s flip-flop season again and I can baby-sit while she has it done.

We had our first snow (so many words I hate are four letter…snow…work) on Tuesday. About 6 inches of wet heavy slushy stuff that made the drive home a little hairy. The trees haven’t lost all their leaves so quite a few branches were down. It’s all gone now…just gave us a taste of what’s to come.

I wanna go to Disney World with Anita and Soos! Have a good day everyone!
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

Well, like an idiot I posted todays news on yesterdays MC. Oh well, pretty typical of me lately. I was trying to get caught up and ended up screwing up! LOL! Gotta run, take care all and have a great day!

Good Afternoon
Yes, missing a couple of days on here sure gets one behind on news.
Just wanted to thank all of you for continued good wishes for my niece. She seems to have gotten over initial shock of learning she must have more surgery and chemo and is holding her own for now. Her sister has been a really big help caring for her, doing errands, etc. Actually both have surprised me in good way.
Holiday Open Houses have started at antique malls this weekend. I managed to get one in decent shape but that was it.
Bill for renewing RV tag due this month along with homeowners insurance. Getting feeling about all I've done lately is pay bills.
This is Hero Week in Huntsville as city hosts a large group of Wounded Warriors and their caregivers, part of the Veterans Day celebration. Will end with parade, ceremony and ball Monday. The warriors were flown in and met at airport by 100s of supporters. Police escort plus almost 100 motorcycles ridden mostly by Vietnam veterans delivered them to first class accommodations for the entire week. A moving experience even if I just watched it on TV news.
Need to get moving. Stay safe whatever you are into today.

Sharon, I looked up that bike you got. Very nice, and it looks small enough for me to ride! Might be a good starter bike for me someday. What color is yours?

Not very busy at work today. Opening deer hunting season :( . Cold and blustery today! Good night to stay inside by a warm fireplace!

Hope you all had a great day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
