Goooood Morning Sistahs!!

Yep it's Saturday the very first official day of the weekend. We are going into work for about 4 or 5 hrs to get a little extra overtime. Altho we played hooky yesterday so if they don't allow us to use one of our sick days it wont be considered overtime. I decided to simply not go in and at the last minute I told Kelly if she didn't want to go in she didn't have to. I did a couple of errands that I've been meaning to do, ie go get a dup title for the Blazer, go to the IRS office and get the forms to do an amended return and then we looked around at trucks.

Found a lot that is trucks only, no cars. I found 4 trucks at that lot that I was interested in. So I got a hold of David's buddy the diesel mechanic and he is gonna meet us at 1:30pm to look them over for us. So we will see what happens. If he says no or if I can't get a good deal I will walk away.

It's frosty out on the back porch this morning but not bone chilling. I am so ready for it to be warm today. Yahoo says it's suppose to be 60f today!! WooHoo!!! I would be really tempted to run around nekkid in the back yard, but the neighbors would probably call PETA or the EPA thinking I was trying to keep a whale as a pet!!!

Ok, I really need to get my whale butt in get and finish getting ready for work, Kelly just jumped in the shower and it don't take her long at all in there!

Babz has left out goodies for us, the cakes, donuts holes and of course the Biscotte. :D And that coffee is ready so line up.

Hope everyone has a great day and that the weather is beautiful where you are. Stay safe everybody!!!!

Love to all

good morning, good morning
when I first woke up I almost forgot it was Saturday, for a moment I thought I had
to get up and get ready for work, then I realized it was Saturday! I tried to go
back to sleep but Bandit was having none of that, he wanted out.
Get to pay off one of my loans today, :D but I did rob peter to pay paul in order to
do that, it will save me the gas and time crossing town over the next two paydays
if I had paid it on schedule. So, although it didn't save me any money in the long
run, its just one less thing I'll have to do next time. Grocery shopping today, laundry,
and trip to Petco for dogfood AND one last stop to fill the other propane bottle.
We've had really nice weather all week, up bordering 80F, even 82F one day, but
cold and rainy this weekend. At least my garden will get watered by nature.
On a happier note, I get to go shopping for clothes!!!! spending with NO GUILT!
:D My sister sent me a Kohls gift card to buy something for me! Lets see, I need
a few new tops, nice ones, lady like, not tshirts (got too many of those) and I need
two pairs of shoes, one pair for work, like tennis and one pair for "nice" :P I think
I'm gonna have fun, its been a very long time since I've been able to go clothes
shopping, can't remember, years for sure.
The coffee is calling my name and some cinnamon toast would be good with a
banana, catch up on posts unread and it should be about time to head out the door.
Have a great day hope everyone stays warm and dry and be safe.

GOOD MORNING ALL!

Good to be able to sit awhile and sip coffee instead of bolting it down and trying to get out the door on time! I love that it's light outside and not the pitch dark it usually is when I get up.

I swear it feels warm out there, but the thermometer is saying it's -3! How can that be??? I just went outside in my slippers and sleeping clothes to take pictures, and really felt quite warm.....hmmmmmm.....I guess I DO have on long undies and several layers, but still------! I guess it's just that I am so happy to be looking at some free time that everything seems better than usual!

I hope you all will have a great Saturday, and will tell us about it so we can share in the fun!

Catch you all later----lots to do, including skiing today! Thanks for the coffee, Echo!

Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

I'll take some of that coffee. I'm trying to wake up I gotta grab a shower. I am suppossed to go to a gourd festival with a gal today down somewhere around Casa Grande. She was going to take her truck with the camper on it but Bash said I could take her car. After my shower, I'll probably go fill up with gas and wait for Judy to call.

She is a neat gal----a surviver. She got a blood cancer from the chemo when she had breast cancer. She fought for about 2 1/2 years trying to find a bone marrow donor that matched, spending much of the time at the City of Hope in Ca. She got her transplant last fall and is doing great but tires easily and has to be very careful. In public, she has to wear a mask. She wanted someone to go with her today so I said I'd go. Sounds like a neat day out if we don't get drenched in the rain.

I am grabbing another cup of coffee and heading to the shower.

Good morning from Mazatlan. Well we were supposed to be leaving here today, but due to compressor problems with air conditioner - it is now in the shop being fixed - we'll be here for a few more days. Our friends probably will be leaving and continuing south. We're in kind of a "manana" situation with the repair. know when it will be back. Thats okay I learned about a couple of little towns l'd like to go to. One has a tequilla plant. Will probably go up fto front of campground and work on my web page today and catch up my blog. If we keep the windows all open and fun the fans it hasn't been too bad in here. The campground is surrounded by lots of vegetation so there are a lot of jee jee nees - no see ums - VERY tiny biting bugs - out first thing in the a.m and in the evening. I usually don't get bit but they got me last nite. Look like I have measles today.

Good morning. The sun keeps shining down and melting the ice and snow here in SW Ohio. I watched the dogs skating across the snow/ice this morning from where it has been melting and then refreezing slick in the nite. They smaller ones are loving it. Herschel is walking like a person whould who knows that he is so close to falling down and would rather not..... I have caught up with most of the chores around here, except for cleaning the house - and I am not going there today. I paid the bills and organized the tax stuff for next week when we sit down and complete our taxes. The last few years I have done alright with the feds but then have to tutrn around and us my return to pay the extra on the state of Ohio. I guess I should be happy that I haven't just let them have a bunch of money interest free, but tax returns always feel so fine! Oh, and I do love family and friends that give you a gift that you won't/can't give yourself. Money for clothes or some trip or special occassion that you you keep putting off because you have to be responsible with your finances. One other thing, but it takes time which is something else that is often in short supply, there is a Goodwill store several blocks away from the health carre facility that the pups and I visit weekly. I have gotten in the habit of stoppping in every time I am in town to see what fell off the last truck. This particular store is very clean and well organizes. I can spot my size Eddie Bauer jeans, in tall, without putting on my reading glasses. I do so love 50% off days or the wonderful "Over 50, then 50% Sundays" The pups got a beautiful washable dog bed for $2. ! Today I am heading off to the local RV Show. They never seem to have many B+ or small C units, but I like to go just in case. I like to get ideas of how to use the limited spaces. Enjoy the 80 degree weather where ever you find it and know that it is Feb and the minus 2s can't go on forever.......

Very quiet without all the highschool kids that I usually have here with me M-F. So far my granddaughter's team has played twice and won both. they play a final game in about an hour.... then it will be back home to do laundry, etc.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Morning...I'm a little late getting here because I've already completed part of my Saturday morning routine...grocery store, gas station, bank and post office....plus I even loaded up the aluminum cans and drove to recycling center which is ten miles away. That was hardly worth my time or gas. Last time I had about half as many cans and made triple the $$$....barely made enough to add a six-pack to the beer on the wall in the campfire thread! The guy told me that aluminum has dropped drastically and if he sells what he has on hand he's going to lose about $5000 over what he has paid to out to recyclers. So many people just throw them in the trash, but when I was teaching one of my students gave her IT for FHA on recycling, one thing in it has always stuck in my mind...the US throws away enough aluminum cans every year to completely rebuild every commercial airplane in use. So I guess it's just my little way of helping Mother Earth. We've had some gorgeous weather for February in SD. It hit 58 Thursday and 60 yesterday...hovering at 44 right now, but tomorrow night we're suppose to have thunderstorms and freezing rain. Certainly hope we don't lose power. Guess I'm pretty much just a weekend poster....don't give myself weekday mornings to post and certainly can't at work....but I usually check things out at least every other day. Have a great week.
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

Morning All. Peaches and I did a very long beach walk this morning - got my 10,000 steps in by 10 am - and now am having a lazy day. Actually, I have to do some webwork, but just keep procrastinating. The repair folks stopped by this morning - he thought he was here for the last time on my fridge, ha - all he needed was to fill the wholes left by turning the door around and put the trim on the bottom. Well, they had trim for a different size fridge - so all he really did was put the little buttons in the holes, and he'll be back again. He called the office and asked them if they thought he'd be able to have the job here finished in 20 visits LOL -- Good thing I don't pay for that.

I'm also going to clean up my overhead bunk where I have tons stored - cannot find my Mexico book by Terri and Mike Church - and want to find it or know that I need to repurchase it (I have loaned it out several times, but was sure I always got it back). And I need to get out all my Alaska stuff (including their book) and start getting that trip even more organized - even though I'll still be doing it on the fly - I don't like making reservations - want to stay someplace if I like it. However, it looks like a friend is going to fly into Anchorage and spend 1-2 weeks with me - so that part I'll have to organize more than normal. Maybe. All I really have to do is be there for when the plane flies in :)

Have a great day all -

Oh, Sparkle, the Sock Hop was ok - but not a single line dance. Guess they didn't think that was appropos for that time frame. Unfortunate! They did some goofy door prize things that I thought were a waste of time - and told jokes. Most of us just wanted the music to continue. They did serve root beer floats and we even complained (among ourselves) about them. Since the root beer was warm when poured onto the ice cream, the ice cream was completely melted and the drink wasn't really cold. Ah - see - we can complain about most anything. Overall, it was fun - I drank wine and did not get snotfaced. Took a SMALL wine glass and paid attention to how much was poured into it. I don't think anyone got any pics of me that were of your caliber :) Might have been one time you could have caught me at something - but only once and no one did.
