Let's start our day with a good morning here.

I went to Walmart yesterday to get what I needed to make my dessert of the month contribution to my club. I am making a rum cake. As usual, I thought I had everything but no rum. I have 4 full bottles of tequila. We are going to have to start drinking margaritas at the GTGs. I hope I miss the meeting where they ask for volunteers again.

Martha, I'm sure Mitch can help you with that excess tequila when she arrives.

We ended up with just an inch or so of snow overnight but there was ice underneath it. Took awhile to clean off my Jeep this morning. It is sunny and 36 now. The leaves on the trees out front are coated with ice and snow and are dropping off the trees like rocks!

Amy, why can't you take a week or two (or more) to travel south this winter? You are homeschooling Bobby anyways, right?

Louise, are you still planning to go to the big GTG near Tampa at the end of January? I saw your name on the list of attendees. I am still hoping to get there myself for a day or so, anyways.

Hope you all are having a great day! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Definitely no longer morning....

After 6 months on the road and many great adventures, I have arrived in Florida for the next 3 months! No more long travel days until February!! Woohoo! Looking forward to some GTGs!

Yesterday I had a wonderful time with two classmates from Port Angeles, Washington, who both ended up in Jesup, Georgia.

Kathleen, I am delighted your daughter and son-in-law are driving you to Florida! I will see you at some point this winter.

To those of you going to Baja, do you have a 'return to the States' date? Wondering if we'll manage a GTG, maybe in Quartzsite, when you come back.

Thinking I need a quick nap!

Well my Wednesday started out a bit different than usual. My regular routine is the usual for most folks, dress, make bed, etc., make sure coffee Is ready.... then I usually take the dog out for her am duty call & get the paper out of the driveway... I remember the days when the paper was left on the porch, obviously those days are gone.... anyway, dog shoots out the door & runs up to the car that's parked in front of my house blocking part of my driveway.... she's jumping up & down by the car & I call her & she tries to come back to me but has to jump up & down some more because... there are 2 people sitting in the car... I pick up my paper & sort of say (towards the occupants)... you're blocking my driveway....(it's about 7:45 - 8:00 AM).... window rolls down & I hesitantly walk towards car saying (calmly)... you're blocking my driveway... well, out comes the badges from each of them & the woman officer says they are on a stake out, etc., etc. I told them they can block my driveway ANY time... do they want some fresh coffee and oh yeah!... need a bathroom, I got plenty & they are welcome to use same and by the way.... hope you catch those bas$#@^s as they broke into my house & several houses in the area & oh yeah! Police that came out didn't even make a report or pick up the evidence or even cruise the streets here soooooo park anytime...........
Just thought I'd share... 8-)

One day until L-day, and am still nervous. Don't know why since I have had two of these lithotripsies in the past. Guess I just hate not knowing how much pain and problems I will have.

Got laundry done and cleaning yesterday, so not much to do today. Think I will head out for downtown and some shopping--mostly window type! Nice thing about living in a motorhome is not having any room to put things.

Sunny and warm here. So glad I am not in snow anymore.

Martha, I'm more than happy to help eliminate the weight of those tequila bottles.

Barbie, I am seriously tempted. It would be a shame to waste my temporary "freedom" just thinking about things I could do. I have enough in savings to get by until summer, I just need to grow a pair at this point.

Red, you'll do find in the driving class ... and you'll be a pro by the end. I have every confidence in you. In fact, if your DH wouldn't have made you nervous in the drive the other day, you'd have backed her right in just like the time he wasn't around to "help". lol

Excel ... good on the cops .... keep that coffee coming. Let them block your drive, you'll sure be protected!

Excell, so happy to hear of the stakeout, and I hope they catch the creeps who raided your house! I, too, would offer coffee and goodies to keep them around until they nab the sunsubitches.

Louise, I just passed through the Villages and Lake Wales area on route 27 on the way to St. cloud from Silver Springs State Park-----it's a beautiful area up there! I am hoping to see you in Hillsborough State Park for the big January FL GTG there in January----I think I saw that you had a reservation, yes? So happy to see some posts from you again, as we have all been wondering what on earth happened to you after the Adirondack Ruckus!

Now if we could discover where Gayle and her two little black scottie doggies are, I would be happy. There are a bunch of us here in the central FL area now for the winter, so we should really try to make an effort to get together for a weekend here and there, if possible.

Time to take the dogs out for one more walk, and then off to bed! Hope you all are having a super time doing some fun stuff.

Oh, Judy, I can imagine the fear and trepidation of your kidney stone bombardment, although Donna, who has had it done, can be of more help than I can. Please let us know any updates on those nasty stones, and may the procedure go much easier than you seem to be anticipating. Hopefully, you will feel so much better when they pass out of your body!

Happy travels!
