been hanging low lately, little pain in my leg for a couple days makes me nervous cause I didn't do anything to cause it. Hopefully its just old age and nothing serious. Been doing lots of walking and will take some aspirin tonight before bed. Hoping it goes away by tomorrow. We
had a Halloween potluck at work today, lots of good food and I of course was stuffed. There will be leftovers for tomorrow. Couple of new
kids on my bus this past week but my aide is very good getting a thumb on them. But they are a handful. Has been a stressful week between
hot and cold. Cold in the morning and needing to turn the heater on and then hot in the afternoon and running the ac, which then makes me too cold so its off and on, off and on. crazy
Maggies been a happy girl lately, that puppy that was here for a while finally got a forever home, and the whole house is happy with that too.
Maggie learned a little trick, she will sit and "high five" but then gets excited and does both paws, so I have to tell her no, not 10, just 5
We continue to work on that :D
Still working on my plans to get my fifthwheel out of storage, remodeled and move back in. Am helping son with the rent for now but his friend assured me not to worry that he has it covered when I move out. Tentatively, my goal is February but sooner would make me happier.
Well, enough rambling.

Had a mostly restful day and the luxury of a relaxing massage this evening as a birthday gift from DD Mandy. Life is good.

A massage sounds great about now! Will settle for sitting by the campfire and relaxing. :)

Was a beautiful sunny day here in MN and I had the day off. Went shopping. Probably spent too much money since payday isn't until Tuesday  . But mostly got things I really needed and some stuff was on sale too.

On Halloween night, I stayed home and got caught up on my laundry and watch the movie, "Sixth Sense". That was a great movie! What a twist at the end! Never saw that coming! Rented another movie called "Lovely Bones" which I haven't seen yet.

This is a strange fall. Some of the leaves turned really pretty and are now falling off, and some trees just turned a dull yellow or brown, and others are still very green.

Need to remember to turn my clocks back an hour tonight. Yay! An extra hour of sleep! :D

I remember watching "Sixth Sense" with my teenage kids when the movie first came out. I knew at the time that it was supposed to have some kind of "twist" at the end, but as the movie came close to the end I just couldn't see any "twist" or what all the fuss was about.

Then it happened! I think I kind of screamed/laughed out loud. It TOTALLY blindsided me  , even though I knew something was supposed to be coming!

My kids took a moment to figure it out - I had to explain a bit - but then they were screaming (in a good way!) too.

What a cool movie. I highly recommend it to those who like the off-beat kind of thing.

Thanks for the reminder. :D

Barbie, that's how our leaves are this fall, I think it was the lack of rain during August and part of Sept. I did get a picture looking out over the area just a few miles south of here.
If there is a GTG in the mid=west next fall or spring this would be a good stopping off point for a few days coming or going. The area where I took the picture has probably 20 wineries and there are several lakes and nice campgrounds.

Probably not as vibrant as it usually is, I am assuming. With a few exceptions, we are not getting the bright, glowing colors we typically get. Even the local trees I was oohing and ahhing over last year, are just so-so this year.

"This" is the view along Skyline Drive, a blacktop road between the small towns of Alto Pass and Cobden in Southern Illinois. It is one of the roads on the wine trail.
Here are some links about the nearby area.

Looks like we are getting our first snowstorm of the season tomorrow evening. Predictions are 4-10 inches depending on the track it takes thru here. :( Still don't have a garage stall yet...

I always expected the first snow up there on Halloween, so you got a little extra time. Hope you get a garage stall soon ... otherwise, you'll be doing the cleaning.

People here still talk about the Halloween Blizzard of '91, when we got over 2 ft of snow, followed by single digit temps, high winds, and windchills well below zero. Everything was shut down across the state for several days. Took everyone by surprise. Lots of boats still in the lakes that got froze in. Never really warmed up much afterward and we got dumped on again a week or two later. That first snow never melted until spring.

Gained another granddaughter today!!! She is the second born of my son and his wife
a few days early but she weighed in at 9 lbs and some oz. having a senior moment and don't remember the oz. (which is why she was
induced a few days early)
and 21 inches long...
haven't seen her yet a long day for mom and she didn't want visitors..so will go tomorrow
I came down to spend the week in Ogden UT with my eldest so would be close when she was born and to do some of the things
I would like to do down here.
Right now my plans are to stay here till Sunday...then back home then hopefully my truck will be done and on Friday the 14 weather permitting will leave Idaho and come to UT for friday sat and sun leave for southern climes on Monday...normally do a month down here but my youngest is expecting a daughter in Jan and in order to come be the mom need to save some money some where so not staying at KOA for a month is what I choose to do...(at this time of the year there is no cheaper place to stay) so will be down to Q earlier than I planned...which I'm looking forward to...getting much too cold for this chick
