Potential for FL gtg, October 27-November 8, 2013

Not only did Nan join us, she made yummy chicken enchiladas last night. Need to pick up some firewood so we can have a campfire.

Silver River is now my favorite Florida SP. The camping fee allows you to enter the former attraction side and walk around. Kayaking the loop run was fun. The rental fee is reasonable if you do not have a kayak or don't want to haul yours. I was very happy with the rental kayak. It was stable and had a comfortable seat with a good back -- always nice. The river is beautiful and crystal clear. So very happy Liz suggested this GTG.

Made it back home safe and sound. We had such a great time at the GTG! My first real kayak trip, a 2-seater with Roger. The food was terrific and just sitting around talking and laughing was fun. Enjoyed our side trip to Juniper Springs and stopping at Sweet Jane's for some whoopie pies. Thanks Liz for inviting all of us to join you. Looking forward to Hillsborough River in January.

Great pix! I didn't read all the comments, but I did catch Donna's "not many pix of wildlife"--excuse me, didn't I see Soos in some of those pix There be wildlife!!! !

Yeah, yeah there be wildlife here! Although this group was rather quiet as far as nighttime 'wildlife' went-----we might be able to change that at Hillsborough! I didn't have any Recipe made for this Silver Springs GTG-----perhaps might have something to do with that???

Hope to have some sing-around campfires at Hillsborough, too----I might even tune up my guitar and practice a bit!
