Its Monday again

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Its Monday again

Postby bluepinecones » Mon Nov 04, 2013 7:07 am

Good Morning
Woke up at 3:30 and cannot get back to sleep so coffee almost gone now.
Have a beautiful sunrise this morning.

A set back for my niece; the lymph nodes removed in last weeks surgery all tested positive so more surgery required. Meeting with doctors later today and tomorrow.

Rental house will have new tenant by end of week. Showed it over the weekend and a young single mother rented it. She will move in next weekend. It is a great relief to know there will be someone in it for the winter.

Have a fun day whatever you have on tap.

Sarah, sad news about your niece. Hoping for a positive treatment outcome.

Liz, I have been doing the same doctor routine while here in FL. Great health news so far. Eyes and endocrinologist tomorrow.

Will select fabric for new RV privacy drape that DD Ellen will make for me. Thinking of specialty fabric that has a design, like a beautiful landscape, so that it feels like a window. I get claustrophobic when everything is closed up.

So sorry, Sarah - prayers will continue.

Liz and Joan, hope medical appointments are all good news!

I had a wonderful last day with the nieces yesterday. Emerald Isle, N.C. has a small but well done aquarium. Then it was a trip to the beach. I have to figure out when I can see the two little ones again as they will be stationed here for 3 years. They will change so fast as they are now 4 yo and 6 mos. Thinking I wouldn't mind a rental for a month on the beach sometime.

Just made the decision to follow the coast into South Carolina today rather than get on the freeway. I am not due until tomorrow in Jesup, Georgia where two high school classmates live.

Hoping you all have a good day!

GM from SoCal! Still dark here, awake at 4:30 compliments of the time change! Yes, Carolb, the grand and I had a wild w/e! Sure did enjoy her company...well, I did until she discovered a couple of fantasy books in the bookcase and I lost her! A girl after my own heart!

Sarah, so sorry the news is not good for your niece. Hoping it gets better. She's to young to have this.

Not much else going on here...sand drags in Soboba in 2 weeks and leave for the dunes the following Friday. My life here at home is periods of quiet and boredom punctuated with periods of intense adrenaline!  daughter and I are going to a reiki thing tonite, she's really gotten into that. BJ got me interested in it.

Have a great day all! We've got chilly weather for the next several days..boo..hiss...poo poo! I've been watching the weather channel for a warm 2 days to go out to Desert Hot Springs for massage, herbal wrap and "taking of the waters".

Good morning , from very chilly North Carolina. Wish I could leave, but this week doesn't look too bad, weatherwise. Waiting on mail to bring, hopefully good response to two problems I have. They keep popping up, but sure hoping this is the last of it. If not, I might just run away   Carolb, feel your antsy feelings, wanting to leave and can't. How about telling the bro, bus is leaving at -------

Sarah, I am so sorry to hear this about your niece, will keep her in my prayers. She is too young to be facing such as this, but that ole "C" doesn't care about age. Take care of yourself, or you won't be much help to her, you'll be down and then who will she have ???

Sharon, you are one adventuress person, love to hear of your outings. I would love to ride those dunes one time, that looks like great fun. I do not have an interest in a ride on your bike though :D Gave that up years ago. did enjoy at one time, but guess I've outgrown it, or maybe it was person I rode with I enjoyed , hhmmm

Wishing you all a happy day, no " Monday monsters" in your way. Hoping all dr reports for those with appointments, go well. If you're lucky and on the road already, stay safe, and enjoy the ride.

CArol :)

Yes, it is definitely Monday! We came back from Hawaii and received a water bill for using over 100,000 gallons of water in a 45 day period (most of which we were not even here)! Now we have to figure out where it went and hope that it isn't under the house!! As Terri said, 'how do they think 2 little old ladies could have used that much water'? !!

Owning a bricks and sticks! Sometimes I wonder if it is worth it at all!

Sarah, lots of prayers for your neice! As was said, the world of medicine has really improved in recent years.

Have a good day everyone and travel safe!!!

Dear Sarah, Sorry to hear the news of your niece. Will say prayers for her.
Not much on the schedule for today. Yesterday was fun with the kids, however the ball game was a bummer.
Wish we would get a few rain drops out of the o'cast.
Stay safe all, lyn

Good morning all! Still in KY, but waiting to see if I will need to go home. My good friend and neighbor across the street is seriously ill and not expected to live. I was going to go home for Thanksgiving and some business and dr aps anyway, and one family gathering with late husbands family. So I may be moving everything up. Bonnie, same thing happened to me, except Joe noticed the meter was running with nothing turned on while we were having some other plumbing done back in July. Some sort of value to an old sprinkler systym had somehow been opened. I don't know how many gallons but bill was 594$. Here in Ala where I live sewer and water bills are split up. Water co, took off 111, sewer would only take of 17. Don't know what is on agenda today besides waiting. Pepper walking, reading, and being out wile I can.Wishing you all a GREAT day, Wendy

Sarah, sorry to hear your niece has to have more surgery. And Wendy, hope your friend is not as ill as they think.

We have been having some beautiful weather, not too warm days and cool nights. I had to turn the heat on for the first time last night. One of the white boys has learned to look in my office window when he wants to come in. A peeping tomette. He says it time for his morning nap. I usually have a hard time getting them to come in at night but last night he and his brother were in by 8:30. The cold weather will make them get their business finished early.

The parish tractor with the limb cutting arm is going up and down our road this morning. The neighbors have a wire run across the road for an electric fence. They will be lucky if he doesn't knock it down. I hope he cuts the high grass on the corner between here and the highway before someone(me) gets hit. If he doesn't cut the grass I'm going down there with the roundup.

We have "city" water to our house but the barn and pens are on the well. It's a good thing because there is always a leak somewhere.

I need to call the vet to bring in the dog for his checkup. Guess I better get dressed before I call in case they tell me to bring him in.
