Mornin' Lori & all that follow. Yup - remembered the clocks - woke at a (new) 3:30. Somehow I lost the extra hour of sleep plus 1/2 hour :(
Have a good day everyone - pancakes sound yummy - maybe I'll make those today.

Good morning all! Some of the clocks were turned back at our house. Tyler slept till 6:30 (yesterday's 7:30 which never happens!). :P It is about 45 outside this morning, but will warm to the 70s. DH and I went to see the movie Last Vegas last night. I haven't laughed so hard in a really long time. Cloaked in the laughter was the same issues about what to do with the rest of your life when you're a "certain age." I highly recommend the movie. DH is going shooting and I'm headed up to the Renaissance Festival all dressed in my garb :P everyone have a great day and stay safe.

G'morning all :D

Mmmmm pancakes! Dad always made them for Sunday breakfast after church--good memories...& I did remember to reset the clocks ;)

Below freezing temps for the next 2-3 nights, so I'm needing to heat the Harbor. Guess I'm just being lazy or stubborn, but do not want to do the winterizing thing for just this coming week? Leaving next Sunday, but hope to convince bro to leave a couple days earlier.

Ava, it was good to catch up with you--sorry to hear about son's job loss, but glad to hear you're continuing with you plans. Kathleen, wow! We'll see you in FL this winter :D Where is Cliftwood? Catherine :( the "big van" going into hibernation? Maybe this will be the last winter for that :P ?

Good to see so many on MC yesterday! Y'all have a great Sunday & be safe always! 8-)

Good Morning,

Got a little chilly here overnight compared to the past two.

Having stayed in Arizona the last 3 winters, this was the first time I had to reset clocks in 4 years! Couldn't remember which ones do it on their own!

Will go to my niece's in a bit and I think we are headed to Emerald Isle and the aquarium there, but whatever they decide will be fine.

Kathleen, excited to hear you will be in Florida! Carol, I think you better convince your brother to hit the road! Ava, not fun to have bumps in the road.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Judi, I thought of you when I saw this home - the clean lines, the "crispness" of it all...

Good Morning,

Up early this morning (6:00am :( ), I guess my body is still on daylight saving time. :)

Marha and I are heading back home to Louisiana today. :( I return to work on Monday.

I leave on Sunday to heading to Bandera, TX and return home Nov 19. I will be rving with some friends. When I return from TX, it will be time to deal with getting the RV damage repaired.

Have a great day!

Slept to a leisurely 9:30 -- then turned on the computer and realized it was really 8:30! I never do the fall time change well. I'm glad it's after Halloween now, though; much safer for little kids trick-or-treating.

I caught up on some television-watching this week, and I just realized that two of my three favorite programs were "created by" the same person. I wonder what that says about my aesthetics?

good morning ladies
little cloudy and overcast right now, looks like rain but the weatherperson is calling for sunny skies and a high of 80. Right now its
56. Plans for today,,,,,,, Ellen coming through town, so a little meetup there as she heads to Tucson. :D looking forward to it.
Don't need to change any clocks, the one I used to have did it on its own and since we don't change our clocks I always had to set
it right anyway so I wrapped the cord around it and put it away. I use my cell phone for my alarm clock, it has a much better
wake up sound :P
Not much else going on, ya'll have a great day and those that are traveling, be safe.

Good Morning All, I remembered to set the clocks back, but, forgot to tell Casey, so, we were out on the street at 5 AM this morning. Met one of the new puppies in our condo building...Boxer, Ridgeback mix. Darling little puppy...all ready becoming strong!!!
Lori, thought of you while I watched the Geo/Florida game yesterday. Good game and Geo's quarterback looks good.
I will watch Last Vegas as soon as it gets on Netflix...don't go to the theater anymore. The trailers look good.
Catherine, is your van in one of those caves?
Anita, I have a 3 yr old greatgrand and I bought her NG Little Kids for XMas. Would like her to be exposed to something other than "pink frilly clothes".
And, Judi, my neighbors left here yesterday morning for Portland...
I'm going over to the daughters home today to watch the Chargers game with her and her gang.
Carolb...when are you arriving out west?
Have a good day all, lyn

Good morning, everyone.

Woke up extra, extra early - again! Some clocks change on their own, others don't - reset most of them.

Yep, Lyn, I took my van to the caves yesterday. My driveway is pretty lonesome. :( Only saving grace is the storage area is run by a super nice family & treats each vehicle like their own & as the weather gets bad, I know it'll be out of the elements. I go get it & leave my minivan there about once a month for the weekend just to drive it & run the generator.
Carolb, not sure this will be the last year for it out there or not but someday I'll be able to migrate with the rest of you. Is your bro going to FL with you? Hope you get out of those freezing temps soon.

Mitch, I loved the fortress-house you posted the link to. What a beauty when it's opened up. Plus love seeing that you get to travel soon - woohoo!!! :D

Guess many of you will start treking south or west soon - looking forward to going along vicariously.

Lyn, Gaby posted that they went out surfing yesterday morning - with the dolphins. She's loving life out there. A little homesick for her friends in Lawrence & home but as the winter arrives here I think she'll appreciate So Cal even more. Thankfully she's got her bro in LA when she really needs some family. :D

No big plans for today - cleaning, sorting out stuff, maybe mulching leaves unless I think they can wait until next week. ;)

Better get moving - hope everyone has a great day!

'Set the clocks back late yesterday afternoon and the one in my bedroom just before bedtime. Only have 4, so doesn't take long. Woke up at 6 something which would have been 7 on the other time, so not bad. But that doesn't count the few times I woke up during the night or Sassy woke me up

Was cold out here this mornng and a hard freeze again last night. Slowly but surely, nature is preparing the earth for that white blanket that will cover it. But it's a beautiful sunny day though.

Did go to Houghtonake yesterday and got my cutouts I wanted, all except for some wooden leaf shaped ones that I needed. All out  Took Sassy along for the ride as she seemed like she didn't want to stay home alone again. Then after we got home, I blew some leaves in front for awhile. Left them piled on the other side of the drive and plan to finish that up this afternoon.
Otherwise nothing much doing here today, just puttery stuff.

Ava, I like your planning and thinking about things. I do that all the time and sometimes take action and others not. But it keeps the brains going anyway. Sorry to hear about your son's job, but maybe better things are in store for him. I debated the retiring and SS thing early too and finally decided to go for it. Everybody's who's retired that I know have told me to just do it as you can't make up the difference in how much you get say at 62 and your full retirement age. Plus life is short, get out and enjoy it.

Carolb, you sound anxious to get out on the road again. Kathleen, I'm so glad you are going to be able to head south this winter. Hope all goes well for you. When do you plan to leave?

Time to go balance checkbooks and all that good stuff, so you all have a great day out there.

Good Morning all from sunny Southern Illinois. I don't like the time change would rather it be a little dark when I wake up. The dogs were really unhappy because they said service was really slow this morning.
I just read Carol's latest blog telling about her 'lost' carrot cake in Vegas. I think it is probably with my boot box. I ordered boots and when they came I opened the box, left the boot box in the box they came in, tried them on and set them back on the table by both boxes...next day I decided they just didn't fit right and started to pack them up to return, the shipping box was there but NO boot box. Searched the house, basement and trash, it is nowhere to be found. So, I wrapped them in tissue paper and sent them on their way, I'll probably be getting a call and have no idea what to tell them, I doubt they would believe the ghost of Halloween took it!
Carolb, I hope you can get your brother in the mood to leave sounds like you are ready and the weather is a perfect excuse! Carolyn so sorry to hear about your rv damage hope they can fix it like new. I'm glad the repairs can wait until after your TX visit.
