Good morning all :D

Hey Martha & Carolyn--have a great time at the gtg :D . Sorry to hear about the blown tire, Carolyn. New tires are always a good investment!

Nothing going on for me this weekend, so just saying "good morning." Off to my cousins for some morning coffee with her...We never did get the nasty winds/rain that were expected yesterday--but what a glorious day! Got last minute yard work done, & more packing/rearranging in HarBor for leaving next Sunday :P

Thanks to all for the slabs info/links! I'm definitely going there this winter!

Y'all have a great day & safe travels!

Good Morning !!! Think my brain is being played with this morning !! :o I read Carolb's post, it was listed as first, I hit post and it said topic didn't exist. So I go back to the morning post and find its been merged,( maybe ???????). Shouldn't play with an ole woman's mind

Really foggy here, but news people are saying this is the peak week end for leaves, so think Maggie and I, might take a picnic and go out and enjoy them. I enjoy them so much around my home here, it is beautiful. But I need a time away from here. Maggie says she does too, she would like a decent walk.

Wishing you all a great week end, do something fun and enjoy the season, winter is around the corner and that will put an end to some things we enjoy. Moving in fast here and I can not leave yet, still waiting for some things to get settled.

Have a great day, have fun, but please stay safe,
CArol :)

Raining here this morning, too...maybe an all day event, but that's okay....GA & FL game today and still have those "bills" to do.... So will get comfy inside and get busy... ;)

Other than that, not much to report from here, so help yourselves to the coffee and apple coffee cake...

Have a great day, all

Good Morning,

It is a beautiful cool morning in Biloxi, MS. Martha and I are enjoying ourselves.

Not letting the blown tire incident on Thursday interfere with my fun. :D

I am ready to roll to Bandera, TX on Nov 10.

Have a great day!

Good Morning everyone,

CArol, seems funny reading about your going out to look at fall color or "leaf peeping" as we call it. The only colored leaves around here are mostly on the ground now with the exception of the bronze color of the oaks which can fall all winter yet.

The rain and wind has left here as of yesterday late morning. Well the wind anyway. Light misty rain was around on and off and may still be around for today too. Winds took down pretty much the remaining leaves off the last of my trees in front, so will probably be out blowing them tomorrow.

Sarah, that's okay if you want to be jealous of my getting my 'chores" all done  But I know that you know, I have old man winter breathing down my neck, so time is of essence now. Like the old saying "make hay while the sun shines", we up here pretty well have to do that this time of year with the changing weather patterns keeping us from doing much outdoors till we get a nice day.

Nothing on my weekend plans either. Spent yesterday finishing up putting together the shrub covers I set out over my shrubs in front of my porch to keep snow from weighing them down. Just need to put two more 2x4 (legs) on them and they will be done. Won't put them out for awhile yet though as it only takes a couple of minutes and no snows in forecast right now. Worked on a fall sign I am making, but ran out of the wood leaves I have, so will have to take a trip to craft store down in Houghton Lake to get some more. Ran off a bunch of template sheets for Christmas and Winter sign making and will now figure out what size wood, paint colors and so forth to use and then start assembling the materials. Plan to take some of this with me when I go north in a few weeks.

Reading about the FL GTG, Carolb getting ready to hit the road pretty soon and plans others are making, makes me wish I was heading out as well. Oh well. Now I'm jealous

Think I'll call a friend and see if she is in mood for a visit today, gotta get a couple of letters in the mail before the carrier comes, and get myself in gear around here. Read a book I couldn't put down till almost 12:30 this morning, so slept in late. Need to get act in gear. Have a wonderful day all and don't forget the time change tonight before you head off to dreamland.

Good morning
A little chilly out this morning but not too bad; looks like a very nice weather day for the end of daylight savings time.
Big to do list, small reserve of ambition. May be a challenge.
Did finally find a contractor last week to finish job at rental house and he completed the task yesterday. Glad to have that out of the way.
We seem to have gone from very little fall color to a major splash almost overnight. Think colors will peak sometime this coming week. Drive needs blowing again but my head is already stopped up so that chore is on the iffy list.
Wishing all a good day.

Good morning all,

Just a quick post to say Hi & catch up a bit.

Taking the van to storage in about an hour :( and need to do final vacuum & cleaning before heading out. Glad I made reservations for her in August though, when I called yesterday & told them I'd be checking her in today, they were very hesitant until I told them I had a reservation. Turns out they are full for the season - if you didn't reserve a spot, you're out of luck.

Sat at Freightliner yesterday for 3 1/2 hours while they changed her oil & fuel filter - argh... :( At least I had my laptop & could work while waiting.

The trees are putting on a glorious show of color right now - I'll try to snap some pics later on. :D

Already had my coffee so I'd better get moving...
Enjoy the day!

Good Morning,

Always hate to hear that someone had a mechanical issue - especially a tire while on the road. Need to catch up with latest blog posts about the FL GTG.

We went to Wilmington yesterday, but not to the aquarium as I thought. Went to the Bellamy Mansion and Airley Gardens. Really enjoyed both. A 4 yo with a love of birds, butterflies, turtles, etc was fun. I didn't take a camera planning to use my phone - wrong choice. However, one niece is a great photographer and will share.

The rain started about 6 last evening and continued through the night. Pretty gloomy now. I haven't heard from the nieces which is fine as I will be happy to sit tight today. The niece with the 2 children was wearing down a bit yesterday.

LeRoy arrived in Salome yesterday for the winter.

Everyone have a good day!

good morning ladies
back to a routine Saturday for me, so laundry is in the machine already and re-organizing my budget for the next couple months. Can and
will dump the house internet for awhile cause there are more important things to put the money to. The smart phone will keep me in touch
and I've even reduced the gigabytes on that too. I've been through this tight budget thing before so I'm very experienced with it
Had a good long talk with my son this morning over coffee so I understand whats happened now, in a nutshell, he's been replaced with
illegals in the job dept. He also knows that my plans to move out are still in the works, and he's got something else lined up too, but in
the meantime money goes where its most important, rent, electricity and groceries. I don't mean for this to sound like a rant, its not, its
just reality and it will all work out over time.
Also looking into my social security possibilities for February. The question is...do I wait or not. Had a conversation over dinner with
daughters mother in law and she was telling me something about something being cheaper if they had waited, but can't remember
what that something was, so will have to get on the phone and refresh that conversation to add to my research. This is all a very major
decision and I want to leave no stone unturned.
Daughters dad wants me to buy his Pace Arrow, very cheap but doable if he lets me make payment, and thats a possiblity as he owes
me money anyway from 30 years ago. Its not something I have my heart set on but for the price I could use it later as a trade in. That
whole scenario sets in the back of my mind.
Ok, I'm done strategizing, ya'll have a great day and be safe.

Good morning! First Saturday off in about a billion years. Bobby and my mom are heading to Florida, so it's just me and the dogs. I wish I could say it was just me and the BF and the dogs, but men are just too confusing right now....

Good Morning... coffee is gone for now... will make another cup later... my mini Keurig quit working found out it needed a descaling... now it works fine...

One more step toward FL for the winter... made reservations at Cliftwood... did not get the spot I wanted but it will do...

My grandson Pete will change oil and filter and check tires for me also get my trike tires blown up and he will put it on the back of MH...

I feel very disjointed this morning... so will stop writing while I am ahead... oh yes the repair people had my MAC for 8 days and still did not get it fixed... at least they didn't charge...

Sue, I've heard you and others mention your signs. I love to see crafty stuff that people who are much more creative than I have made. Any chance you could post some pics, maybe in the Arts & Crafts section? They sound wonderful.

Boy, you got that right, sister!!! You're preaching to the choir out here! LOL!

Beautiful sunshiny day here in SoCal. I have custody of a grand for the w/e while her mom is on a retreat. Not sure what we're doing today, movie or kayak over on Lake Perris, her choice. We went out to Home Town Buffet for dinner last nite, not one of my faves, but we're kind of limited on choices around here and she really likes it. Chicken tonite, on the grill here. Made panckes and turkey sausage for breakfast....yeah, it's all about the food. LOL! My girl likes to eat.

Sounds like some of you are having damp weather, not fun! I'm sure our time is coming, just hope it's not over Thanksgiving week. Damp sand is not as much fun as dry slippery sand. May get the RZR out today and take it for a spin.

Have a great day all!
