Cheryl, it is wonderfully quiet this morning. Slept in a little and now sitting outside my rig listening to NPR, sipping good coffee and reading posts.

Have a great day!

Good Morning,

I have enjoyed my time at the beach here in N.C. Today I will move closer to my niece's house at Camp Lejeune - my other niece arrived yesterday from Washington State.

The winds have certainly been bad in certain areas of the country! I hadn't changed my weather alert so got a text announcing high winds at Carolb's during the night (we were under tornado watch when I visited her). Hope all is well, Carol. LeRoy may stay in Albuquerque another day due to winds.

Happy Halloween!

Good morning Cheryl, Joan & Anita & all to follow! :D

Duh, I've been calling you "Irish" & just realized today your name CHERYL is in your signature!  Good to see a new face open MC :D Yep, Anita, we have high wind warnings for the next 24 hrs or so. Same storm that's going through the midwest today? Midwesterners, what's the report??? Hope you're all safe...

Well, Lori, your "nonchalant" remark about meeting in the middle sure has taken off! GTG in middle America--I love it! If y'all haven't seen it, check out GTG topic.

And "rye girl"--is that you Donna? Duh again! Didn't figure that out til you posted being with Lyn & Sharon...How's that Barth doing? Such a classic...

Off for more coffee! Y'all have a great day & safe travels always! 8-)

Good Morning Everyone, the day doesn't look all that welcoming outside, BUT my yard looks fabulous !!!! It was such a mess and now you would never know it !!! I am so pleased!!!! The fella that comes and does most anything came yesterday and in 6 hrs. what a transformation. Now we are talking 1 1/2 acres of leaves and large portion of that had a tree down and hadn't been mowed for sometime. Really an eyesore around here, he did wonders and I feel so much better this morning, especially when I look outside. I had this defeated feeling, as I have always kept my yard just so so and to have it in such a mess, I knew I could never clean up myself, was depressing !! Now, everything is all better :lol: ;

While guys were here cleaning up my yard, gave me a boost of energy and ambition here in the house. Getting there, but a ways to go yet. I am sure hoping the weather holds for a little bit longer. After our freeze last week end, it looks good through the next week.

Have to get moving, have a great day , stay safe . Those on the road, enjoy for the rest of us too, ok? Break times finds me here looking in on what others are doing and knowing if I just keep going I can be out there too.

Take care,
CArol :)

Good Morning

Rain today with severe thunderstorms forecast for this evening and tonight.
Bumper crop of acorns this year and it sounds like someone shooting at the house as they bounce around filling up the gutters - not good. Almost dangerous under the trees as those little suckers leave a bruise when they hit you.

Niece is doing well following her surgery last Monday. Thank you again for all the thoughts and prayers.

Doctor informed me this week that after end of year he will no longer be in my PPO network. Going to be a lot more expensive to see him.

In the middle of this weeks chaos, I finally found a contractor to make the last repairs at rental house. Such a relief and to make the situation even better, I have a young lady interested in renting the house.

Have a good day!

Quiet day for me too. So nice to be warm and dry and have the sun shining. Unlike some people, I like open campgrounds so I can feel the sun and see long vistas, which i have here. Very nice COE campground at the right price. No closed-in forests for me.

Going to get some work done today and maybe some cooking.

Good morning everyone and happy Halloween. We had another rude awakening with lightening, thunder and pouring rain. Still raining. The house is dry, but the rest of the land is under 6-12" water. Suppose to clear up by trick or treat time though. However, no one comes out to the rural horse area for treats. Too much energy spent for the amount of treats  will probably go with DD to see the opening of the movie Enders Game tonight. She just finished reading the book. So that'll be our Halloween !!
