Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Weds. Work Day...

Postby rvgrammy1953 » Wed Oct 30, 2013 6:52 am

Good morning all.....Yep, today is work day....laundry, dusting, sweeping, moping, and maybe even run the carpet cleaner, too... But it has to be done....The fridge may wait for another time...we'll see.....

Tomorrow, we're going to Fernadina Beach & Fort Clinch, FL for a "look-see".....and lunch somewhere....

Up at 4:30am today, but I did go to bed at 10PM so I chalk it up to a good 6 1/2 hr. sleep....didn't take any meds....wanted to see how I did without them....Not bad...

Okay, coffee's ready and some yogurt is on the table...

Have a great day, all...

Good morning Lori and all to follow. Was sleeping well, then lightening, thunder and pouring rain woke me. So I'm up. Yesterday I took RED to the dealer and it turned out to be the fuel pump on the gen. They were able to change it out with out dropping the whole thing. New design for the 2013 :P I drove over there and back solo, but did not back her in to her spot on the driveway. DH and his crew of yard workers were out front when I got back. DH was yelling instructions to "help me" back up. I got all flustered and told him to do it. Made him happy. :x I'm off for PT appt. probably grab breakfast through a window on my way. They have pumpkin spice latte that I want to try :P Everyone have a great day and stay safe. Aloha

Woke up early here this morning too. Didn't sleep most of the night anyway. Got a popcorn kernel lodged in between two teeth and it refuses to budge no matter what I have tried so far. I can feel it with my tongue, so no it's along the bottom of the tooth area. Grrrrr. Kept me awake most of the night trying to figure out a way to get it out. Dental floss and dental pick didn't work. Fingernails did help move it a bit, but they all wore down in the process  Heading into Farmers Market this morning, so may have to stop by dentist office. Grrrrrr.

Red, glad you got the genny problem fixed. Lori, sounds like both of us are going to have a work day today. You inside, me outside.

Had a nice chat with Soos on facebook last night and she is enjoying the FL GTG very much. Sounds like all are having fun. Looks like more GTG's on the planning board possibly.

Judy sounds like she is enjoying Yosemite, snow and all.

Enough jabbering for the morning. Time to get a move on before I fall asleep sitting in this chair. Have a great day all.

Temp went down to 24 last night and supposed to be high of 44, so have decided to bail out today. Just not fun to walk around here when it is so cold. I had hoped to ride bike and take tours but cant do any of that so no reason to stay around and be cold. Looks like Glacier point road will still be closed so I am headed to warmer places where I can get TV and Internet access more easily. Just not a good time of year. Will come back another time.

Good morning, all.
Judy, I agree about heading to warmer climes! I spend my summers in Coeur d'alene, ID, and watching their weather of late makes me glad to be back in central Texas.

I took Jake (the Jayco) to my son's last Thursday and came home again last night a day early. We had a 100% chance of rain today and I wasn't excited about unhooking, driving home, backing in, and hooking up again all in the rain! So I came home early. Now I can just sit here and watch it rain and drink my morning coffee.

Everyone, have a great day!

Good Morning to All - We are now in Las Vegas for 2 weeks. Have plain old half cafe coffee and some pastry from the Argentine market that we picked up yesterday.Very yummy - that was my dinner last night. Very windy drive Monday from Arizona to here. Sustained winds at 25-35 gusts up to 55 or more. Wind managed to blow us into the other lane while crossing the big bridge at the AZ/NV state line. No wonder they say high profile vehicles have to use the center lane when crossing.
Didn't do much of anything yesterday except visit with our youngest son and his wife for a while. They live here. Did some unproductive shopping - looking for things and not finding them. And got the car washed, it was so dirty from our trips into the desert.
No plans for today.
The wind blew in a cold front so the temps are in the low 60s here. Supposed to warm up by next week. At least no rain in the forecast.

I had to look to see where the rain is. The radar shows a big area of rain on the Texas/Louisiana state line. They have been saying it wouldn't be here until tomorrow afternoon. Some are going to get a lot of rain if it's moving that slow. I'm getting ready to head out in the morning for Biloxi RVW rally so sure hope I can get ahead of the rain. It has warmed back up here to the upper 70's.

Sue, I have just about quit eating popcorn because it gets in my teeth so bad. I had a piece go down the side of a tooth and cause an abscess. I try to remember that when I'm tempted to eat some. Hope you can get it out.

Judy, good idea to look for warmer temperatures. It's no fun to sit around in the cold.

WhooHoo, I got my Honda CR-V Monday. I probably won't get around to getting it ready to tow until next year. I really need a tow vehicle for my 3 big trips a year.

Better get back to cleaning house and loading up.

Martha, just keep reminding yourself that you are worth it.....three trips or ten! I convince myself often of things that years ago I would not have even considered....money was so tight while working and raising kids.

Oh, I read an article about retirement the other day. It mentioned the often quoted fact that you should have enough retirement income to cover ?? % of your working earnings... (You can see I notices all the details) What the author mentioned and I have found more useful to think about is that once you get the mortgage paid for and the kids educated and out of the house and paying their own bills)...it doesn't take nearly as much money to live on. :)
