This is my first GTG ever - whoops, Ellen says it's not a formal GTG! I am enjoying it so much, and have been inspired by these other fabulous women. I need a nap today to have energy for the barn dance! I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't get back to sleep, thanks to the wine.

Judi, you are safe.....anytime any of us are together it is a GTG.....Seems members are just getting better at planning them on the fly even faster. There really aren't any "formal" gtgs around here. There are only gtg's where some folks show up....maybe share some food but always share some stories and laughter! How many rigs show up and how many months ahead one is scheduled doesn't make any of them more official! I just love that more and more folks are figuring it out!

Ellen is right. If this were an official gtg, we would've had to pay the group rate for our sites instead of the Passport America rate. So, we're just a few friends that decided to go camping this weekend....

Loved all the pics. I miss being with you folks BUT Vegas was calling my name as I hate to miss this conference I always have so much fun. Welcome party tonight, brunch tomorrow, then Mon and Tue all day conference, ending with a cocktail party sponsored by one of the Recruiting companies. Love that it is tax deductible...hee hee I was going to just rest up on Wed but think I will leave on Wed and begin the L O N G journey up to Reno. What a boring drive. But good road and it does go by fairly quickly. Hope to stay in Reno that night, then an easy drive home from there.

As promised, pictures from the barn dance. Now, some of them aren't very good because of the lighting but I'll post all of them anyway. I think Ellen and Judy got some as well but I might be in them so I hope they don't know how to post pics here LOL It's been almost 30 years since I've danced the Cotton Eye Joe and while this was a fairly tame version, it would've been easier with liquor. At least it seemed easier 30 years ago with liquor. I believe Judy has pictures of us dancing to that.

What a fun time we had! The photos of Laura and Judi doing the "Cotton Eyed Joe" do not do them justice, They were really hitting it! The pictures are pretty grainy but you get the idea.

And, yes ...that is Judi in the red pants doing her own thing...determined to learn those complicated line dances. When we finally seemed to get somewhat proficient at doing them, it was time to go and we were exhausted. Great cardio exercises!

We gave Ellen a sendoff on her long journey to TX this morning and everyone else has now packed up and left except for me as I am staying here for a week. This is a nice camp park (Silver Spur) in an interesting town (Silverton, OR) so I will be on a discovery trip this week. I hated to see everyone leave however.
