Fun Friday!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Fun Friday!

Postby linann » Thu Oct 24, 2013 11:16 pm

It's officially Friday, so I can open the topic for the day. Sue, your photograph yesterday is beautiful. I so enjoyed your winter photographs last year and hope you will post more this year. Of course, your winter weather is much easier to enjoy sitting here in FL. Don't laugh, but we have a definite chill in the air. I hope it lasts through the week while we are at the Silver Springs GTG.

I have a fun day planned. I was invited to attend an all day conference/celebration hosted by one of the departments I support at work. Breakfast and lunch are included, a key note speaker, break out sessions and prizes. I'll only be able to stay through lunch because I have a meeting already scheduled in the afternoon. Doesn't matter -- it will be fun to do something different. OK, it's off to bed for me so I can get some sleep before heading off to my conference. Best wishes to everyone for a fabulous day.

Good morning, Linann and all that follow....Wow, I thought that 3:15am was early.... :o I'm back to the early riser again.... But kinda' like the nap thing...so all is good.... ;)

It's 48F right now here.....suppose to be cool again today, so am looking forward to a campfire this evening...of course Ernie's cold, but I'm so enjoying this weather....sunny and comfortable temps.... ;)

Nothing much planned for today...am working my fingers to the bone, trying to finish that darn counted cross-stitch of Ernie's Mom for him for a Christmas gift....and I have an almost finished bed-size afghan to work on....maybe I'll pull that out today and work on it...Who knows.... :?

Okay, since I'm up "before the chickens" I'll get some muffins going and already have the coffee going...so help yourselves...

Have a good day, all..... :D

G'morning Linann, Lori, Donna & all to follow :D

Quite some cool weather for FL! I imagine it's very welcome for those who suffer through the FL heat all summer ;) Pretty pix of snow--I actually hope I get to see some before I leave NY! None in our area yet.

Deeann, thanks for posting the Red Lobster biscuit recipe (Tues). Aren't they the best!! Wish I had some this morning mmmmmm BJ, can I get an appointment for sometime in April? :D Sharon, is that Donna in her Barth? A classic RV!

Getting our new garden shed delivered tomorrow--hooray! Piper graduates from her intermediate school on Sunday...much to do before leaving in two weeks! Silver Springs gtg peoples--ENJOY!!!

Y'all have a great day & weekend! Safe travels always! 8-)

Good morning all. Just a quick hello before I head to Dr. Appt. I loved Sue's pic from yesterday. BJ, what a great adventure. Sharon's back in SoCal and not letting the dust settle. A lot of change in the fall air :P There are so many interesting threads on the forum, I need to catch up.

I thought I would have yesterday to catch up, but no wifi or phone signal at the dealer. I took RED to the Dealer yesterday to see what's wrong with generator. Computer code says Fuel pump. Only 8 months old and 50 hrs. They have to put RED up on racks and pull that huge 8,000 watt gen out just to look inside. I didn't leave her with them because they can't get to it till Tues. So drove home and for the first time I was able to make the sharp turn and back her up into the driveway and into her spot ALL BY MYSELF!! Tried many time before, to no avail. But after studying it more and a few tips from friends, I DID IT!! Feels good.

Everyone have a fun and safe day. ALOHA

CONGRATULATIONS!
You should be very proud.
And I'm envious.
Still can't easily back up my itty-bitty trailer!
GOOD JOB.

Awesome job backing up :D

By the way Mitch, short trailers are harder to back up than long trailers. The "come around" much quicker and therefore harder to back. A little wheel goes a long way. ;)

Good foggy morning from SoCal...we've had fog the last few days and it seems to last into the afternoon. Chilly, too! Not to my liking at all, not at all! I'm still pecking away at getting settled back in the house and getting Hope cleaned out and restocked for Thanksgiving in the dunes, Yayyy!! Can't wait! Off tomorrow for the Antique Tractor and Steam show in Vista. Love that place, they have the show twice a year. Spring for planting and fall for harvesting.

Yes, Carol, that's Donnas Barth. She's down in SD right now parked on the beach and loving it. Lyn has been so gracious in picking her up and taking her to see the sights. I need to get down and have lunch with Lyn, Donna just loves her.

Good job, Chris! Sometimes you just have to have the exact angle to get into a spot. My driveway is like that, but it looks like I have a lot more room to maneuver than you do. Proud of you, girl!!

Yup, Mitch, Melissa is right, those small trailers are squirlley as heck. I have a small toy trailer and absolutely dread having to back it into the driveway. I try to get the kid to do it, but he's not always around when I need to do it. I did it last year, I'm sure all the neighbors got their evening entertainment. One guy told me to turn the wheel in the direction you see the tail end of the trailer, but that's for backing up straight. Wouldn't have a clue about backing into a cg spot. You gals that do have all of my admiration!!

Gotta run, breakfast is calling..have a great day all!

Good morning all! Hope your days is beautiful, its sure looks warmer out there than it is!

Love the fall and dreading the winter, got a feeling its going to be a rough one in Ohio this year.

Well, I have a couple nights off work so today I am going to get mom out of the house for a little while and get some shopping done. Maybe stop for dinner later, nice alternative to cooking and cleaning up afterwards, lol. I thought about picking up some yarn to keep my hands busy in the afternoons. I wish mom was still able to crochet, her mind cant remember how, but it would be nice for her to have a project to keep her busy. Have tried everything I can think of. I am going to pick up some craft stuff to make some Christmas ornaments with her to give to family this year, nice keepsake for them.

Enjoy your day!

I am enjoying the peace and quiet of Hensley Lake in California. Almost no water in lake so not too many people here, which is nice. This is a COE park with electric and water for only $15 for us seniors!! Lake is empty partly because of drought and partly because they are servicing water intake. You can still kayak, however.

Got a new tire yesterday--blowouts are expensive, so I hope I don't have any more. Am going to do a lot of relaxing and reading today!
