Vicki, so sorry to read about little Sambo...he has been through a lot of bad happenings these past few days. Casey and I are praying for him to get better....lyn

Thanks for asking about Sambo. He is at my sister's house and doing pretty good. No more spitting up blood. His first red blood count was 22, then dropped to 15. They gave him the blood transfusion on Friday (I think) and we brought him home Sat. Monday his blood count was 33.8, normal is 37-50. He is still on Prednisone, Vitamin K1 and antibiotics. We will bring him back next Monday for blood work again. Hopefully it will continue to rise.

Glad to hear little Sambo is improving

Sadly, I had to give Sambo his last snuggles, kisses & loving encouragement today as he crossed over the Rainbow Bridge to once again be reunited with my Momma. His blood work showed much worse, along with muscle deterioration & kidneys not working, so we made the decision to let him go & not suffer. Thank you all for going through this with my family.

Sambo couldn't have asked for a more caring sis. Big hugs to you Vickie - and to your dad and Beth also and everyone else who will be missing Sambo. Your Mom and Sambo are reunited, though, and that's good for both of them.

Vickie, I am so sorry to hear about Sambo not making it. You all sure tried hard to save him tho. He is out of pain and running free and happy now with your mom. They all leave a little hole in our hearts when they leave tho.
