Beautiful pictures. Yosemite was a favorite place for summer vacations when I was young.

Thanks, Sheila, but I was lucky about even getting pictures as I FORGOT my camera! Luckily I didn't forget my cell phone which would be much likelier, and even better this one takes much better pictures than the last! Whew!

Wonderful pics of our trip Beth. I couldn't find the pic of Ansel Adams standing on that rock at Glacier Point with his tripod and camera, but I did find this one of him gazing out at the wonder that is Yosemite. Quite a few years ago, they used to let people go out on that rock! :o It's 3'000 ft. straight down! They used to dump hot coals and burning wood off of there and people would watch from the valley floor at the Ahwahnee Hotel. They called it the Yosemite Firefall. Thankfully someone decided that and letting people go out on the rock probably wasn't a good idea. ;)

Was there many, many years ago, camping with husband & all the kids.... saw the 'firefall'.... it was amazing & beautiful... remember people calling out 'Elmer'... don't remember the story about that though..... glad we all got to see it before they quit doing it....
