I like the scenery of mountains lakes and oceans (I will learn more about deserts this winter) but the Houstons, Washingtons, Detroits, Atlantas and Nashvilles are all part of our land, too. Each city has its own feel and look. But then I have had a lot of experience driving the interstates around and through Cincinnati and Dayton in the car and the rig. And I am not afraid of making a wrong turn....I have lots of experience doing that!

I would think your bro would be thrilled to have you at Christmas, I would! It's all about family. Just my 2 cents. I'm sure Miss Vicki has the armadillo cleaned and frozen and waiting for your arrival!
Miss Caroline and Miss Martha are gonna be really upset if you don't stop and go to the Crawfish House with them for a meal. They have an appetizer plate of etouffee and rice that is just the perfect size. Nice drive the next day to your next stop.
I think you will be fine. Have your route well planed. Drive the speed you are comfortable with and ignore anyone that makes you feel anxious When you get parked we'll find some margaritas
