Just talked to Vet. Held off on blood transfusion. Sambo perked up last night & this morn. Continue with fluids & Vitamin K today & check blood tomorrow. Good news!

My sister & I spent time with Sambo today. They had him hooked to an IV still, but said he ate dry & canned food, drank water, marked his spots & was checking out everything around him. If his blood work comes back good tomorrow there is a possibility that he may be released! Thank you all for the prayers & concern.

Thank God that Sambo is gradually recovering from that. Prayers being said that his recovery continues and Alexis and Beck send HIGH PAWS for his recovery as well.

I just called the Vet office, hoping that they would say we could bring Sambo home today. Unfortunately his blood work this morning was a little worse than the previous one and they are doing the blood transfusion about noon today.

We were able to bring Sambo home to my sister's house today. It is still a wait and see situation. He's on Vitamin K1 and Prednisone, & extra liver in his diet to help build up the red blood cells. Monday they will test his blood again to see what the numbers are.
