I'm not sure I like this particular tattoo, but it really is a neat idea!

I think I would go for lacier, and narrower, straps, and a smaller overall design. Something a little more feminine.

Thanks for sharing Judy, those are neat and gives something to think about. I felt better when one of the women said that there was not much sensation or pain. I couldn't imagine going through a painful tattooing procedure even for stunning results. I am a wimp when given a choice. Pain vs no pain.....

I, too, think that is a great option. I agree, tho, I would also go with something a little more lacey and feminine than she did. But to each her own.

It's a great option for some. But remember, tattoos and MRI's can cause discomfort and bad reactions also. And those who have had health problems are more likely to need MRI's in the future. Something else to think about.

The tattoos that react (cause burning) from MRI's are from ink that has iron in it (especially reds). Most inks nowdays don't have iron in them so there is no concern in that case. Just make sure to ask the tattoo artist if there is iron in the ink they use.

Aren't they lovely? I saw a photo of one years ago that was based on climbing roses -- a very different effect, but also beautiful.

Does anybody here know someone who has done this? I'd love to hear an almost-first-hand report.
