Finally, Friday!!!

Good morning, all...

I was AWOL yesterday here cause we were up and out early....Got the flu shot, made my follow-up appt. for a CT scan of the kidneys, did some shopping, and cleaned up around here some....Weds. went to see the Dermatologist for follow-up on the skin thing....then just came home, and chilled for the rest of the day...

Next week is full of appts.....Spinner has his VET visit on Tues......Weds. I have a visit to the Dermatologist for a little surgery to make sure that the nasty skin cancer cells are all gone....then on Thurs. I have the CT scan scheduled....I know it seems to be alot in a short time, but I so want to be DONE with it all....

Next year WILL be BETTER.....!!!!

Today I plan to have a "me day".....

Okay, coffee's ready and some toast, too...

Good Morning

I'm up way too early again. No appointments today for a change and I could have slept.

I hope to get flu shot next week. Usually have had one by now but I'm on antibiotics for tooth infection so no flu shot yet.

Weatherman says we have about one more week of near perfect weather left. A cold front late next week will drop temps and increase chances of rain.
Maybe I can slip away at least a few hours to visit Magic over the weekend. Actually need to clean, not just visit.

Good morning of have to use my phone for a few days I ran out of GB's on my verizon for my internet... and using my phone doesn't always work out... not sure what today will bring the weather has been nice to hear though... tomorrow will be heading to the home park for a geocache events... you can read about it on my blog.. Oops, sorry Beth, didn't mean to worry anybody My "sigh" yesterday was a good one! Had found out that no one needs to sleep at my house for the reunion weekend. Those who have been here know it's not a big house to clean, but it's small enough to not have room to store things! My bedroom is more like a big storage closet with a bed in it! And right now, I don't care about the house--as far as I'm concerned, it's just one big storage closet for things I don't need when I'm on the road!!!

Good to see you back Sarah & Sue...Amy, I'm also still wondering about Pedro's underwear

Good morning everyone. Love Pedro's underwear. Where's Pedro?? I'm up and not going for a long walk. After my long walk yesterday my knee was hurting all day. So I'll give it a day. It seems whenever I get the motivation to try and be more active, the body doesn't cooperate. Frustration!!

One of my friends from Phoenix (we taught at the same school in Hawaii back in the 80s) is going to Austin with her daughter to check out the Law school at UT. I'm going to drive up to Austin and meet up with them tomorrow. We are going to the Broadway show "Book of Mormon" and then enjoy some of the wonderful, eclectic cuisine Austin has to offer.

My daughter got a job as a photographer up at the Texas Renaissance Festival. It is huge permanently installed festival grounds that is open starting this weekend and each weekend til Thanksgiving. Each weekend has a theme with this opening weekend the Oktoberfest weekend. http://texrenfest.com The employees are allowed to stay the weekend. I have tickets for the Oktoberfest and will probably go on Sunday. A fun and busy weekend.

Good Morning - oops, no longer morning here,

I went to bed about midnite, woke at 2 and couldn't go back to sleep. At 3:30, I finally watched TV! Woke after 11 a.m.

Ah, the things people miss when they miss some of the posts! (Pedro)

I looked at the severe weather map this morning - I try to stay out of the colored areas but I am in the midst of green (meaning possible flooding)! Nothing to worry about where I am parked tho.

Lori, you have had enough med stuff! LeRoy has been dealing with quick developing skin cancers - new ones are appearing that the doctor didn't see two weeks before.

Think this will be a lazy day - what's left of it.

Hope Sharon was able to get on the road this morning with no issues!

Still morning here is California, but it is more like foggy California here along the coast. It went down to 45 last night and supposed to be a high of 60 today. It looks a little brighter than it did, so maybe the fog is finally clearly and the sun will warm things up.

I called the orthopedic surgeon's nurse last night to find out if there are any tests I can get out of the way before the appointment on Thursday so I don't have to see him, make appoint for x-rays, and then see him again. (I am used to my surgeon sending me for x-rays ahead of time.) She confirmed that they can do them in the office right then. I am getting really anxious to get back on the road, although this campground by the ocean is nice--just no hookups and I have a lot more exploring to do.

I'll head back to Napa on Wednesday and will get one more procedure and the results of all the other tests then. Will feel better after all of that.

Keep us posted on all those test results, Judy. And, Anita, what kind of skin cancers is Leroy getting, and how are they treating him? The first thing I will do when I get back to FL is see the dermatologist for another looksee at my body to see what may have developed over the summer. (Even though I stayed totally out of the sun unless I was lathered with heavy-duty sunscreen.)

Weather on the east coast is slowly getting better, according to what I have been hearing on the news, but it's been a not nice several days. Sure hope a week from today will be much better.

October 11th is always a very sad day for me as that the day my 2 month old baby girl died of what they called Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, or Crib Death. I thought I would not recover from that day, and, if it hadn't been for Mandy, my 2 1/2 year-old daughter at the time, I would not have survived. And it still kills me to remember it each year.

Not a happy day for me.
