Got to touch - not kiss the Blarney Stone

Postby asirimarco » Thu Oct 10, 2013 7:53 am

We are about 900 miles into our winter journey to Mexico now - stopped for the night in Shamrock, TX as we have done several times coming and going. This time we unhooked Willie and went in to explore the little town of 1100 (I think I said 1900 in the blog)....Any way discovered they have a piece of the REAL Blarney Stone there among many other interesting things. Had fun exploring. This morning we're off to Tucumcari, NM another cute little town on Route 66 that the I-40 left behind.

What a neat town! Would have loved to eat at the pink and green diner from the Cars movie. Lots of wonderful history has been kept up. Thanks for sharing. Continue to travel safe!

I've read that you really shouldn't be kissing the real blarney stone anyway because it is full of germs from all those people kissing it!!
