Mini -GTG in Kansas

Postby cnq50b » Wed Oct 09, 2013 10:04 pm

Had a lovely visit with Peggy (PeggyinCT).

:DImage

We had dinner at Oklahoma Joe's for real KC barbeque & in general just gabbed the night away.
Enjoyed every minute of it.

Anyone else coming thru Kansas - going anywhere, feel free to stop by. :D

So nice to have all the comforts of home.... Thank you Catherine. It was such a pleasure getting to know Catherine better. The forum is like an extended family and we catch up on all the happenings. Many of us have met the same people, and family keeps growing. Do stop in Kansas on you way east or west. The Flint Hills are beautiful and there is a COE park that
would make a good "meet in the middle" gtg for next year. Enjoy today.

Great photo! Catherine, I will catch you on a Kansas visit - missed you this year as you were headed out by the time I finished with family, medical, etc. in Manhattan.

Dinner looks great but I only see 1 meal there! Who didn't eat?? :D Glad you guys got to meet! I'll make it up there one of these days, or catch you when you visit SD. Catherine. I keep missing Peggy, darn it!

Very observant Sharon.... There is only one meal and extra sides. We realized that we couldn't eat 6 ribs each, so we shared. Catherine didn't even finish her 3 ribs. Mitch, that's a puddle of Joe's BBQ sauce on C's plate. She dipped her French fries in it. Oklahoma Joe's is a KC institution. It's a gas station/ribs place and it was packed with a waiting line on a Wed night.
