Good morning all! :D

Have missed y'all & was good to catch up with you this a.m.! Got home yesterday afternoon, with Anita still on my tail, & she's my driveway guest now--for how long???? :D Til it stops raining  We had a great trip :P ....

Martha, sorry to report that your favorite B&J ice cream now rests in peace...found poor Creme Bruele (?) in their flavor graveyard :(

Looks like the weather is doing it's nasty thing again, so I hope everyone is safe from hurricanes, floods, snow, heat--whatever is going your way. And it seems just yesterday that Carol & Bill returned from Mex, & now on your way back??? Yes, Sharon, I'll be out your way--between Phx, Q'zite & SoCA, so definitely want to spend more time with you (not necessarily with Chewy though  )

Hey, Amy (Ladyhawk)! I used your trick the other night--didn't need anything to get to sleep, but woke about midnight, & did a half-benadryl for the remainder of the night. Worked great!!!!

Y'all have a great day & safe travels always! 8-) Off to welcome new people that I've missed the passed few days--miss a day/miss a lot!!!!!

Rained all afternoon and evening yesterday and temps dropped wayyyy down. 2 days ago had to run the A/C for a few hours in the afternoon and this morning dug the heater out from under the bed. Electric blankie worked well last nite and both of the fur babies were grateful that mom remembered to bring it! LOL! Not sure what the weather is supposed to do today, need to go check that

Got a pack rat trying to gain entry into my house. Had to turn on the engine at 6 this morning. I sleep on top of the engine and I heard something digging around down there. I already had him in my car, so now when I park it I raise the hood and leave it up. Another reason to start heading home!

I made stroganoff for dinner last nite, so that's all I'm cooking this year. I made all of the requests from son and DIL plus a couple extra that I was wanting. The rest of the time they fed me well! To well....britches are a little tight, I need to get out and walk more. LOL!

Anita, looking forward to when you'll be back to the western area. Carol, sorry, Chewy and I are a couple, she's part of the crew.

Going rat hunting, have a great day all!

Good morning CarolB, Sharon and everyone to come. Hope to see you as you pass through TX heading west :P Woke up to a cold front, then rain. Cold rain. It sure feels like fall is here. Finally. But don't know how long this will last because it's still suppose to get up into the 80s!? DH left for his sporting clays tournament. Daughter and I had plans to go hiking, but think it'll be a quiet morning at home with pumpkin spice coffee and a couple rounds of Scrabble.

Good Morning,

I am dragging with this rainy weather! What crazy weather everywhere. Hope all are safe.

We had another great drive through color yesterday to arrive here at Carolb's. Her dogs were so happy to see their yard!

I am planning my route south. Since storms prevented me from getting my fill of Pennsylvania Amish country two years ago, I think I'll spend a couple days there this week as the weather looks to be nice.

Everyone have a good day and safe travels!

Rainy here in the lovey midwest but Audrey doesn't care. She and her Uncle Stuart are packing up in about 15 minutes and making the drive to Louisville to visit with Izzy and two of Audrey's siblings for the day. We are having a nail dremeling party and a here is how to groom an English Cocker puppy demonstration. Oh, and lunch! Hope to get some pictures to share. The babies grow up so fast!

On to the roads and the last few hours of "Gone Girl".... books on tape..... :)

Good morning all,

It FINALLY feels like fall in KS, so happy to get some cooler weather here. I'm ready for the grass (& weeds) to stop growing - translation= I'm tired of mowing.

Welcome to all the new folks I've missed - looking forward to meeting each one of you once I get on the road. ;)

You're right, Carolb - miss a day on this place/miss a lot! I know you & Anita will have fun despite the weather.

Sharon, you get to chase rats! What fun! Guess we should all be vigilant in monitoring for unwanted hitchhikers.

Mitch, so glad to see your posts again. Hope you're getting stronger each day & there isn't any poisoning going on over there - those fish tacos look wonderful. Cant wait until there's a GTG when Vicki can show all of us how good they are. :D

Ava, read your post yesterday - my, what a situation you drivers are put in! Doesn't sound like anyone can win - just hope you & your aides don't get hurt. And the wedding frenzy! I remember all the trauma & drama of finding just the right stuff to wear & what to take when 17 of us from KS flew out to LA for my sons wedding. 14 of us were on the same early morning flight - you should have seen the activity at the airport switching stuff around in luggage to stay under weight limits, etc.   While we had a blast once we got out there, just lining up everything - flights, hotels, transporation, etc can make for some anxiety. Just remember what happens, happens & in the end it will all work out. (Really glad you don't have to share a room with the grandsons though :D )

Sandi, small steps do work... praying that things continue to progress peacefully.

And Tina, looking forward to those pics...

Enjoying my coffee & eggs. Come on over if you're close by & I'll whip some up for you. :D

PS. Even though I don't post very often, you all lighten my day when I get home each evening. Thanks to each person who shares your dreams, challenges & jokes. It is the friendship of this group that I look forward to once I escape the 9-5 world. :D

good morning ladies
I think my brain is numb, life just feels weird lately. I have acquired a dvd series of HBO's Deadwood and been watching that. I have
forgotten how x rated their stuff is as I haven't seen HBO is many many years. However the series has been good and can't wait to put
in the next one. They did that series in 3 seasons and then ended it. I just started in on the second season last night. Will do some
chores today and take Maggie on a good walk and then sit down and continue with Deadwood. Weather has been good lately, only
got up to 83 yesterday and much of the same today.
Guess now my teenage grandsons are staying in the same motel as me as Grandpa, who booked their room switched it so we'd all
be in the same place. He tried to get me to book the motel 8 as it was cheaper but I told him no, I had read the reviews and it
was a creepy type motel, as in hookers and druggies. So he canceled that and booked them at the Days Inn with son and I. At least
they will have their own room and I could even kick son over to their place if I need to
Looking forward to the eastern side girls to come west and see them once again in Q. For now, since the wedding is just around
the corner, Q seems to be something I can look forward to and give me a new fresh outlook on things. I have an older model (2000)
Pace Arrow in the works on that but we'll see how that plays out. Stay tuned.
Coffee is fresh, enjoy, sorry I ate all the donuts and didn't share :D
Ya'll have a great day and be safe.

Good very late morning to all!

Oey's birthday party yesterday was a chaotic success, with lots of sweets and goodies and gifts and kids and howling laughter! I took a good video of it! (After consulting my video camera book to remember how in heck to use it----been a year since I had it out!)

The kids are all packed up and heading out as I type, leaving the old homestead lonely once again. Not sure when I will see them again before I leave. Sure was a fun weekend.

Now to tackle more house/sorting/cleaning/tossing/organizing before setting a date to head south.

Happy travels!

Chipmunks can be packrats of sorts also. I once had one store away a full bucket of acorns for the winter in all the little areas of my engine compartment on a Saturn I once owned. A lot of places in an engine area are flat with rims around them, and this little guy must have worked very hard to fill them all up. Unfortunately for him or her, they ended up at the service area at a dealer a long way from his home.

I have been up since early morning since my two grandkids stayed with me last night while parents went out. Granddaughter was not feeling well with a sore throat, so she did not eat, but was happy in the over-cab bunk wrapped in her favorite blankets and watching television. My grandson felt fine and had a good sausage and pancake breakfast. They are both gone now, and I have the day to myself.

Plans are to wash windows and do some damp mopping inside. Also will go return something I bought a few days ago and buy a replacement. Tomorrow is the RV repair place to try to get my rear furnace fixed. And then I head to Bodega Bay where it will be a lot chillier than here. Can't believe how consistent Napa weather is. Has been mid-70s ever since I got here and no rain, although I think rain is a good thing.

Cold and wet here today. But supposed to warm back up this week into the 70's so that will be nice. I have been running my space heaters lately since our heat hasn't been turned on yet for the season.

Tomorrow was supposed to be my day off, but one of our stylists is stuck in the snow in the Black Hills and can't get back home by tomorrow so I am taking her shift. She is supposed to take my Tuesday shift instead but we'll see if she can even get home by then.

Now I am heading down to the party room to help with a Tupperware party for a woman who had come to mine and got roped into having one of her own. Then off to my dad's for awhile. Then laundry... :(

Soos, Little Oie is sure getting big! You are gonna really miss him this winter!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
