Yes they were. Behind trees, around bends in the trail and over small hills.....The wranglers walked one way and we would head off in our own directions...all as needed. Well, this day there was also a female wrangler heading off in her own direction... :)

looks like a fun day regardless the weather...did you wear the chaps because of the rain or was it required?

What fun. Looks like a camp I went to as a girl. I think it is really cool they have it for adults. I definitely want to do this next year.

I'm so glad you were able to get all the pictures you did and you tell the story so well. Whata great time in spite of the weather!

Gawd looks like so much fun! Love the fashion show too
Maybe next time I'll go with - better get back riding tho to get in shape or I'd be sore after the first hour

The chaps were optional....most of us only wore them on the one trail ride that was predicted to dump the most moisture on us. They help keep your jeans dry against the rain and from the vegetation along the side of the trails....

And for those that may have ridden before....apparently even old bodies have some muscle and balance memory. My bottom was only slightly sore. My knees recovered after about 5 minutes of walking around and my legs were just fine! :)

What a marvelous time you had! I am overwhelmed with nostalgia. I'm not sure I could physically ride that much these days . . . I wonder if I could get strong enough by next year?
